Posted July 30, 201014 yr I know this all depends on the size of the screen you go in but roughly, where do you like to sit when you go and see a film in the cinema? Everyone I know seem to be obsessed with going right to the back (last 2 or 3 rows or so) :nocheer:. However, I much prefer to sit in the mid-section/smack bang in the middle (or as close to that as possible). I dunno why, but I feel I get the whole surround sound and central view of the screen a lot clearer and the view isn't too far to the back, but isn't exactly too far at the front. It's just right.
July 30, 201014 yr I used to be obsessed with sitting right at the back too! But it feels like it's too far away now lmao. So yeah, I go for the middle section, the smaller screens in Vue are the best however  Such comfy seating and coz it's smaller it's closer and is just generally better. I refuse to sit right at the front though, no way am I watching a film for however long with my neck craned up for the whole of it.
July 30, 201014 yr Back row, either in the middle or the part where there's no seats and just stairs in front of you . Edited July 30, 201014 yr by Jamieed
July 31, 201014 yr I always sit at the back so i see the whole screen without having look up and making my neck sore
July 31, 201014 yr In the middle, but the last 3 films I saw were in the biggest screen available, so a bit further back than row 5. :P I remember when I went to see The Simpsons Movie in the biggest screen, it was completely packed and we had to sit on the first row; it was awful and they shouldn't even be allowed to have seats there!
July 31, 201014 yr Middle section, but recently I've gone at the very back. I like aisle seats, as that's roughly the center of the screen. Although that means having to stand up when people want to get past you  And I know it's just a poll and perhaps just an example, but does Jonjo really go to a cinema where there are only 10 rows in a screen? :o Edited July 31, 201014 yr by bigzarafan
July 31, 201014 yr in the middle right in the centre if there's seats there. plus if you're in the middle you never have to get up to let people out.
July 31, 201014 yr I was sit at the front of the middle section where the hand rails are as there is more leg room. :P I've only sat at the back once which was when I went to see Charlie's Angels 2 the day it came out and me and my friends rushed to the back. :heehee:
July 31, 201014 yr Usually on the aisle seat first row in the middle, I don't go right at the back after I slipped going up the stairs. I've got a problem of slipping sometimes
July 31, 201014 yr Always aim to as further back as possible, better view and I kinda dont like having people sitting behind me.
July 31, 201014 yr In the middle, normally just behind the bar on the first seats up the stairs, and right in the centre! (Not picky at all)
August 1, 201014 yr The back. I've always been very, very long-sighted to the point that if I'm up close to the screen I actually get headaches and blurred vision. I'd rather it wasn't like this as usually you get a load of pricks sitting at the back chatting, laughing and generally spoiling it for others. Why do people do that? I mean ... why don't they just spend the six or seven quid ticket cost on a couple of bottles of cider or something? Norma

August 1, 201014 yr Usually the last row because I am worried that ppl behind me might be kicking the seat and when I sit there no-one will be able to kick my seat. And I hate that ppl talk when in cinema and therefore the last row minimizes that since at least no-one from behind can talk.
