i did like elephant too but it was just too scary/creepy for me in the sense that it could easily happen to anybody. i'm absolutely petrified of school shootings like that and i just couldn't stop thinking about what i'd do in all their situations. but then i suppose that's what's good about it they've created a great sense of realism. i do like that style of film though with the long shots have you seen paranoid park?

and i'll check those 2 out. i've not heard of mysterious skin but i've heard of up and can't image myself crying at. but hey i wont knock it until i've tried it!

if you don't cry at up, you are heartless. i don't think i've ever cried harder at a movie. that being said i've had a death of a close family member before, so if you've never really experienced someone you love dearly dying it may not effect you that much.

and no i have not seen paranoid park. ;o very interested in seeing it though.

I have yet to see Up! but i have heard that its a tearjerker... I still stand by the Notebook though (stupid bitch ¬_¬)
'Hachi'. Literally the whole second half.

I've never cried properly at a movie :( Probably something to do with some deep emotional issue :kink:

The closest a movie's ever come is Precious:

Pretty much the whole movie </3, especially the scene after she finds out she's

HIV+

and the bit in the social worker's office at the end.

And then Up almost made me cry too but then again, almost EVER Pixar movie - Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo etc...

I watched UP for the first time on Thursday night, and I think I must be the only person on the planet who thought it was rubbish. Seriously, I was soo bored.

Um you can go crawl back into your pit of heartlessness.

I don't usually cry at movies, but my god Marley & Me hit me like an emotional freight train of doom. Didn't really help me that I knew what was coming, and that I'd lost my 1st dog Holly not too long before then.

I watched 2:37 earlier as I was curious and it sounded an interesting scenario.

Didn't effect me emotionally at all...with the exception of the English guy I hated all of the characters and didn't feel sorry for them at all (only towards the end for one of them...). I liked the interview sequences, but I hated the ending. I just felt cheated.

i'm serious y'all, mysterious skin is the WAY TO GO, i just saw it for the first time a few days ago and i was an emotional wreck afterwards. a very powerful film. plus it stars joseph gordon-levitt so
Oh and Thirteen. The one with Evan Rachel Wood. Only cos it depicted something that I was going through at the time. And yeah.. HI BUZZJACK.

Oh yeah, that too. The ending scene is really powerful imo.

One of my favourite movies ever as well.

Bloody amazing film. Joesph is amazing in it, and I wept like a baby! A powerful movie which tackles a sensitive issue perfectly.

Also; I cried at Titanic. :(

I've heard only good things, but my local HMV didn't have it :( Amazon saved me tho, should have it within a week <3 Also, you need to see Magdalene Sisters, k. I think it is something you would enjoy.

I think I saw this when I was really young, is it the one where

the two best friends begin to starve themselves, and at the end they have a massive argument, and one of them is run over and killed?

Either way I need to get this film and watch it properly.

Sandra Bullock fully deserved to win an Oscar for this movie. It is a truely beautiful film with a lovely story. I got the DVD today and watched it

when I got home, will be watching it again very soon. The bit (in the trailer) where Sandra says "You threaten my son, you threaten me" really got me

mmm YES. its probably one of my favourite films ever even though i've only seen it once, though i don't think i want to see it again. i think i've mentioned it in pretty much every post i've made in this forum this year :( hopefully thats why quite a few have said they've "just watched it" etc.. YAY

i watched earthlings yesterday and cried my eyes out at that. i was a vegetarian beforehand but now it's really made me think about the sources of every other animal product like milk, clothes etc. i don't buy leather or fur but i do drink milk and eat eggs and i'm giving that a second thought now.. it's not something i'd ever watch again though. once was draining enough!
Oh GOD, if i cried THAT much just after seeing the trailer (the letters on my keyboard are like islands in the ocean now because of tears) i am really scared to guess what happens if i dare to watch the whole picture. f***, i love and absolutely hate such movies at the same time.
