How I Met Your Mother makes me want to scratch my eyes out - it's the worst comedy I've ever seen and *possibly* the worst show ever made.

How I Met Your Mother is shocking. It's the most undeserved comedy success story of the last decade (Scrubs aside). Pooooor.

I've not seen that much of Will & Grace but what I have seen was decent. More gentle amusement than outright laugh-out-loud but Karen *is* amazing.

Never watched How I Met Your Mother, but it does look good.

Will and Grace is immense. Karen is by far the best character; but I was always quite partial to Grace aswell.

8 Out of 10 Cats is funny. I love Jimmy Carr actually he's great.

How I Met Your Mother is very hit and miss at times

'How I Met Your Mother' is amazing. Deserved higher :(

'8 Out Of 10 Cats' annoys me. The show itself is great, but I don't like the way it's edited and stuff.

Cant believe how low Supernatural is. Best show on tv in my opinion, oh well lol.

Ew, this is THE worst show ever made. I've watched like 2.5 episodes and it was a f***ing TORTURE by the end.

It's all about the show in my signature ^_^ Too bad nobody knows what it is

i'm so glad we've not had gimme gimme gimme yet (unless we have and i've just missed it..?) it deserves to be high. such an underrated show!

"How I Met Your Mother" is amazing once you get into it, one of the best shows on TV

I don't watch much TV, I think I've only ever watched three shows that have been in the list so far  (HIMYM, Coronation Street, 8 Out Of 10 Cats)

Glad you agree. We'd have to end our relationship if you didn't like it -_-

Buzzjack's favourite characters: Elle Robinson, Kate Ramsay & Lyn Scully

I can only assume people have been voting based on NOSTALGIA because by all accounts current producer Susan Bower, a woman having a mid-life crisis and living out her teenage years through the medium of television, has completely run Neighbours into the ground and shockingly seems to have absolutely no awareness of this, believing the show is on top form from the interviews I've read. Regardless of its current state there was a time during the early noughties when Neighbours was practically unmissable, boasting a plethora of legendary characters - Lyn, Harold, Madge, Steph, and of course Toadfish - and some sharp-ass writing. Buzzjack's favourite characters are the manipulative Elle, relative newbie Kate and classic matriarch Lyn.

Sadly, what you say is quite true. The last couple of years have generally been TERRIBLE. And it is down to Susan Bower, who has filled 50% of the cast with teenagers, and doesn't consider it an overload. I've seen a few interviews with her aswell, and she's a diabolical woman. She has really gone into her own bubble, and has convinced herself that she is right, and everyone else are just a load of whiny old nuts who don't know what's good for them. Her latest idea to boost ratings was to implore fans to write letters to the cast. Bizarre.

Having said that, it IS going through a good patch, where she's actually been focusing on the older established cast - the Steph/Toadie/Libby saga is about to blow sky-high, and she is setting Paul up for

a whodunnit murder attempt

.

On the best characters, I struggle to understand how dull-as-dishwater Kate Ramsay could be anyone's favourite. She's perhaps the best example of Susan Bower's obsession with bland-teens-chasing-their-dreams. I couldn't care less whether she makes it in dance school.

Elle on the other hand was absolute fabulousness, despite making an AWFUL first impression back in the mid-noughties. The best thing Bower has done in her reign to date was persuading Pippa Black to stay on for that extra year (she had initially quit two years ago but was talked around).

Now, I have never actually seen this show but I do believe it is something I should get into. It's dubbed by E4 voiceover man as 'Like Friends but without boring ruddy Ross' (which by the way is obviously a lie, since Ross is like the third best Friend.) From what I've heard about it from other people too it cetainly seems like my kind of thing, and I think it's pretty near the top of my list of shows to watch.

I'm torn on this - I do watch this and it does have a kind of feel-good factor about it. And Barney IS a great character.

On the other hand, it's totally derivative of Friends, the jokes are p***-poor, and the acting is hammy on some parts (sorry Alysan Hannigan fans). Were it not for My Family's bewildering continued existence, this would be the worst comedy on TV.

Scrubs and Green Wing on the other hand are MARVELLOUS. Scrubs has admittedly lost a lot of it's shine recently, and they should NEVER have tried to carry it on post-JD.

I'd like to apologise for the fact this hasn't been continued for a while, but I'm waiting for Jark to post and you know what HE'S like in a rate.

You made it to 2.5 episodes :o? I got through 11 minutes, something horrendous about them all being like lul cos there was a stripper that looked like his wife or something.

Do it on your own next time James.

I agree, you can never rely on Jark..

:kink:

Which begs the question "Will the EastEnders character rate be finished before the year is out?" :P
