I'm sure either Britster or Spiidey had the Sunday, Monday, Tuesday... share of sales in the UK Singles Chart:

Example:

Sunday - 16.6%

Monday - 14.1%

...

I would really appreciate if anyone could put that back here, thanks.

This chart battle reminds me of the Happy vs. Meet Me Halfway chart battle - and I think it'll go the same way (early front-loaded leader loses out in the end to the more consistent seller).
I'm surprised the Saturdays are no1 but its a good tune.

I'm not surprised at all. I don't rate the song, but it's The Saturdays so it was always sure to do well in the charts

01 Saturdays

02 Flo Rida

03 Eminem/Rhianna

04 Ne-Yo

05 Yolanda

06 Tinchy

top 30

Devlin

Ellie G

01 Arcade Fire

02 Eminem

03 Plan B

Top 15

That's exactly what I said in the iTunes thread a few days ago. It's probably destined to do a 'Happy' - on a smaller scale.

I was thinking that too. Man, that was a good week, so exciting. One way it was different though was that MMH just seemed to get this sudden surge from nowhere and radio seemed to start hammering it all of sudden. I think ultimately, people were amazed how good they were on x-factor and it just really caught on. But of course, everyone expected leona to get no1, i mean its leona.

That was a good week

Ne-Yo slipping to #4 already :o And yet some people thought he could stay several weeks at the top (me included!).

Lately #1s seems to get to the top on initial hype and fall down the charts at a drastic speed. While long charting songs like Flo Rida or Eminem fail to make it to the top. Weird !

Please let them be #1..They are always working so hard plus they are British which always helps over this American domination :D
WOOOOO! Jason Derulo back in the top 10

He was there last week :P

Anyways, surprised to see Arcade Fire still #1 album :o and Tinchy not top 5 :( though he was hardly gonna be.

Not much going on really... Travie's album has flopped, so if Skream drops out of the top 40 we'll have an albums top 40 with no new entries at all, that surely doesn't happen often :o

EDOT: Oh wait, Queens Of The Stone Age as well but they'll hardly hold on... what album is that anyway? :P

That was a tragic week! :snif:

'Happy' actually deserved to be number one. The vocal, the lyrics, the video... :drama: 'Meet Me Halfway' is a brilliant song though so I'm not too pissed off about it...now. -_-

I wish we would have sales data in the midweeks all the time, like RyRy and Spiidey used to give us, I'm guessing MusicWeek have stopped, anyway, thanks Gazoink.

I'm almost certain I've said this to you before - Brits have been #1 for prectically half of the year so far, more weeks than Americans.

3.7k lead is not good enough, especially when that will include all the pre-ordered physicals (which i imagine there will be a good 2-3k with an act like the sats). They will probably be no1 tomorrow aswell but come Sunday, unless they gain a big lead on flo rida on itunes, its going to be a no2..... again.

I really like Happy but i like BEP more and the fact they got 3 no1's from the same album was fantastic.
