Arcade Fire's situation reminds me of Doves' The Last Broadcast... it could stay #1 this week but on very low sales (talking sub-Bionic here) then plummet to low top 10 next week.

Rihanna, Shakira, BoB/Bruno Mars and Scouting For Girls have left the top 40 building from last week's top 40 singles chart.

EDOT: Oh wait, Queens Of The Stone Age as well but they'll hardly hold on... what album is that anyway? :P

Its called Rated Rx. Not sure if this is a re-entry or a new album.

Yeah, Rated R was their début album so this is a re-release, it never made the top 40 before though :o

OMG nearly wet myself when i saw Rated R - Rihanna at #12 in the albums :kink: :dancing:

I hope it re-peaks :P its still on 2 for 10 offer in my local HMV which might be the reason its climbing again.

wow Edward Maya just won't die...I know it wasn't the best selling song but it did pretty good job for a song who spent only 4 weeks inside top 20.

and :heehee: @ GaGa album...almost 18 months inside top 10

OMG! I've just got a MusicWeek subscription, it has everything! I'm such a chart geek, any requests? OMG! *faints*

This year's #1s in the single charts is a throwback to the year 2000, Saturdays are the 14th act on a weekly basis. Owl City and Roll Deep are the only acts with 3 weeks, 7 acts with 2 weeks at No.1.

Next week Roll Deep :D

I hope that saturdays hang on in there!

Roll Deep are released next week? :o

Hope they manage to get number 1 again

The Saturdays deserves to be at No.1 this week!! The melody, the lyrics and the video are fantastic!! Club can't handle me is good but all the songs of David Guetta has the same rhythm!! So, missing you is better by far!!

Moreover, Missing you is "Viva Forever" of this decade!!

I'm so happy for The Sats! I can go happy to my job right now! :w00t: :yahoo: :cheer:
I really like Happy but i like BEP more and the fact they got 3 no1's from the same album was fantastic.

True but if Leona got to number one, she would have had a #1 for four consecutive years:

2006 - A Moment Like This

2007 - Bleeding Love

2008 - Run

2009 - Happy

But she's kept the album trend going:

2007 - Spirit

2008 - Spirit (Deluxe Edition)

2009 - Echo

Sorry for this off-topicness. :kink: I just hold (silly) grudges.

Good Sales for the saturday! Guranteed around 50k i think. They will slip we know this!

If they slip to number 2 it will be Frankie and Rochelles 7th Number Two...... hehe
