Great News about the fake version on Shontelle I adore Impossible.

 

I'm pretty confident there's a few more weeks in the top 10 for The Saturdays, I hope so anyway. Missing you will get a boost when Headlines is out next week so fingers crossed it can match Ego's sales success of 250k.

The Roll Deep song just sounds like a carbon copy of Good Times- it has exactly the same structure, its not bad, but doesnt deserve number 1

 

Chase and Status on the other hand- :wub: :wub: what with their rising profile, this could well go to number 1 :D

 

Katy Perry song is good apart from the chorus which totally ruins it as it sounds exactly the same as California Gurls

 

Impossible is bordering on awful- very generic and quite annoying

Definitely. I did actually love Good Times but it was basically just DJ Sammy's version of Heaven turned more pop/commercial rap.

 

Green Light has a fantastic beat, and is more interesting to my ears at least, and far from a carbon copy.

Stromae is charting highly quick - I have no doubts this'll go top 5 then! :cheer:

 

Although it will be sad that Alizee's "Moi Lolita" will be overtaken as the last highest peaking French song in the UK. :(

My opinion is that Green Light is so much better than Good Times. Good Times was good but was nothing special and got old and boring quite quickly. Whereas Green Light has a very good bassline and is in my opinion more commercial. :P

Good Times is my second favourite number one of this year, and I think it's merely a decent song!!

According to bigchill's info so far Saturdays has been texted to them 2,878 times and MissingYou has been texted 1,234 times so that's well over 3k sales! Not sure how many will be chart eligible though as people have been multiple downloading. This is from Twitter so I have no idea how they got this info.

I saw her on The Crush on 4music earlier and saw her performing it on something on Channel 4 today..Could be a factor.

I guess we can say she'll still hold the record for a French song by a French artist, since Stroame is from Belgium.

But yes, "Moi... lolita" is still a grand classic :wub:

 

And wow at the Saturdays, they really seem to push their luck, but I guess that's how you have to play nowadays to get a #1 hit, so fair enough. At least they're keeping the chart battle very interesting this week.
