Who says it would be a live interview?

I think some of the interviews can't be live, because I listen to the Big Top 40 Show and Radio 1's chart show at the same time (I swap between the two whenever Reggie talks for ages, or if a song I don't like is playing), and there's been some occasions where the same guests have been on both shows at exactly the same time. Tinie Tempah and Florence + The Machine are two I remember off the top of my head, but it seems to happen every few weeks. Another one I remember was Joe McElderry was on the Big Top 40 Show, the week her got #2, and on Radio 1 they were all like "Joe is supposed to be here, but nobody knows where he is", which was a bit cruel, as it made it sound like Joe was purposefully avoiding them. Anyway, rant over. I would be inclined to believe that the Big Top 40 Show interviews are live, because the chart is live.

Tbh.. it will be close.. Saturdays have multiple Versions Everywhere !

4 in top 1000 itunes.. including Ep (Will take them around 3-4 Itunes)

2 in amazon

2 In Hmv

1 in play.com

Mobile download, Physicals... be close?

Im struggling to see how The Saturdays could be number one tomorrow. Their pop bars are just too far behind, even with all the other versions included. Im expecting them to be at #2 or maybe just edged into third.
Come on 30STM, hold up for a top 40 next week :D

Hoping there's something that can stop Iron Maiden next week, I'll most likely hurl if they can get a #1 album and Linkin Park can't :puke:

LOL, learn about some real metal/rock music, kid. Iron Maiden are ten times the band Linkin Park have ever been. And a thousand times the band The Saturdays will ever be, for that matter.

Jls were at 7 this time last week

Didnt they actually have a big lead in at one point? The Saturdays have only led through adding together all the other versions and then they had a narrow lead.

The new releases here we go :)

IIRC JLS were #5 this time and were pushed down by Pro Green and 'Bang Bang Bang'.

Theo you forgot Inna. :P

My favourite release of the week is 'Amazing', not just because of the quality but also because I always appreciate artists in the UK top-10 from mainland Europe. :P

Oops. :P It's because she's listed as next week on the release schedule. ;) I've added her now though and boy does she look hot on that artwork!?

oh and completely unrealted to the artwork - it's my favourite new release too. :kink: Actually; Eminem and RiRi are but they've not got an iTunes EP.

Brett-Butler's B-side watch:

Number of releases - 9

Number of singles with original b-sides: 1.(5)

You can alway rely on Kele for original b-sides, with his rather weird 'Down by the Heather' backing up Everything You Wanted.

The Drums' single has 'Don't Be A Jerk Jonny' on it, although technically it's a double a side rather than a b-side.

The Freemasons' release is interesting, as the EP version has remixes of their former singles as extra tracks. Should get them a few bundle sales at least.

JLS reached number 1 during the week though with a significant lead

& the gap between them and Katy Perry started off pretty big at the start of the week and at the end of the week there was still 12,000 copies difference, whereas The Sats only started off with a lead of 4,000 in the first place

I think only three releases this week have the potential to go top-10: Chase & Status, Roll Deep and Inna. If there are more then beware, the Saturdays! If 'Airplanes' overtakes 'Missing You', the latter will go to #7 and will be overtaken by the fourth release going top-10! :o Although I can't see any dark horses this week but who knows, who knows...

EDIT: I thought a bit and came to the conclusion that Stromae *might* be that dark horse. Since Monday it's officially C-listed on the Radio 1, it starts to get some video play... And judging by how high it got only after some random plays by the Radio 1... I don't think that he'll go top-10 this week but again like Aly likes to say, "Stranger things happened". :D And even if he (Stromae, not Aly) goes top-10 it will be in the end of the week when he won't be able to achieve so many sales to get top-10 this week officially.

Can't believe we are still debating about The Saturday's being #1 they will Definitely be #2. They had a lead of nearly 4,000 copies at the start of the midweeks and by Friday's were only 300 copies ahead(remember mobile downloads were released thurs, so would have included the bulk of these) I know they will be #2 but I think it's brilliant for them sales of 55k + hopefully not bad at all...Especially in this climate with urban/RnB and rap artists doing well.
On the iTunes album chart Inna is at 140, Roll Deep at 180 and Chase & Status at 234. Nothing showing on the singles chart yet.
