I've not seen any episodes from its original run but I watched this last night and I quite liked it. It's not laugh out loud funny and some of it reminded me of a pantomime but I did enjoy it and I did find some bits funny.

Probably won't be looking out for each episode but I'll watch it if I come across it on the TV.

Liam it's on Freeview channel Drama it's on almost every day, check it out at some point it's funny I haven't seen a lot of the episodes but what I have seen have been funny clearly not very episode is great but you do expect that.

Watch this, Dorien doing Like A Virgin

Back to the revival episode, it didn't seem like it had been 15 years since they last time they had been together. There was some funny lines but I forget them now. Will watch the rest of the series and see how it goes.

YES.

Not seen the original series, not properly anyway, but just watched the first two episodes back to back and it was brilliant. Dorian is what I hope to be when I'm older. Fab-u-lous. And Tracey's son is a bit of an alright isn't he? I enjoyed it. Can't wait for next weeks.

And also YAY for Amy Childs cameo in Episode 2.

I am really enjoying this so far. I used to enjoy Birds of a Feather as a kid (when my mum used to love it), but now that I can understand all of the humour I like it even more.
I thought they got it as right they could, very enjoyable, loved the original and am enjoying this too.

I was worried about this new series not living up to the originals but I'm pleased to say I'm really enjoying it! Yeah so some of the gags are hardly cutting edge but its got that nostalgic feeling and Pauline, Linda and Lesley are just fantastic as ever I just wish I'd seen the stage show!!

Only real critique though...get rid of Garth and his 'Aussie' girlfriend if it gets a second series, Matt Willis and the actress who plays his girlfriend are annoying me they didn't need to be written into the show it works better with the three leads and the guy who plays Travis would be enough for the show!

I agree Garth and especially the aussie girlfriend need to go. I am really enjoying it, Dorien was and still is my fave and she is as great as ever. Delighted it is doing well in the ratings too, outside the soaps its topped the ratings for its 3 weeks so far, i know the ratings are well down on when it originally aired but thats the nature now as audiences are far more split now with access to so many channels, so in context it is doing excellent. I hope we get at least a second series and i also look forward to the dvd release to add to my collection.

Yeah, they really need to get rid of Matt Willis + co. They don't even add anything to it, they just pop up once each episode.

The other son however, he is gorgeous! Dorien is fabulous too, by far my favourite of the three of them. Thursday's episode was brilliant!

This is so good! It's great to see a series be relaunched and actually work. I think it's because the chemistry between Lesley, Linda and Pauline is great.

It was a bad idea having a lot of extra characters though, as others have said. I think it would have worked with just the younger son (and maybe a few appearances by Garth), but the Australian girlfriend is awful! Luckily that doesn't detract too much from the main show. Really really enjoying this!

i think having the original writers back on board is a huge help in its successful relaunch, i wonder in time will we get guest appearances from Doriens arch rival Melanie Fishman or further still will Daryl and Chris make guest appearances.
Dorien is one of the best sitcom characters ever, so good. Still loving this series.
A best of Dorien should get a dvd release, it is something i always felt should have been done.

Yeah, even in the old series I preferred it when Garth wasn't in every episode but for me Matt Willis just cannot act so if the show returns for a second run (which if its ratings stay above the 6 million mark, ITV would be stupid not to) but they need to make Garth an occasional character

Last nights show reminded me how great the show was when it focused on Tracey, Sharon and Dorien as that's the only reason I watch the show! Had me in stitches last night, especially seeing the old Dorien flirting away with the old man, can't wait for next week!

That would be at the top of my Xmas list!!!

Yeah, he really can't act. He should stick to rehearsing for McBusted's tour. :kink: Hopefully if there is a second series they film when he's touring so there's no possibility of him turning up and making the episode weak.

Last night's episode was brilliant  Was really hoping Travis would get together with the girl however, but oh well. Dorien is just a goddess

God help us when he turns up in Eastenders later this year...I really hope the tour does keep him away from a new series though they might try and film his parts around his tour schedule but I can only hope!!

Surely a second series is certain now, it has topped the ratings in its slot every week and outside of the 3 main soaps it topped the ratings. A national tv award nomination and win would be great for next year too.
I really enjoyed Thursdays episode, full of laugh out loud moments and I was hoping for a Garth/Matt Willis free episode...sadly that wasn't to be but at least it was only a short appearance but I loved the episode best one so far!
