November 19, 201014 yr Channel 4 Joe Thomas has revealed that he is pleased an Inbetweeners movie is being made. Speaking to What's On TV, Thomas explained that he is glad he can look forward to the film following the end of the television show. "When this series finished there was a certain sense of loss," he said. "But on the other hand, we've got this other big thing to do which is going to be a massive challenge, so we're looking forward to that." Thomas also revealed that he expects his character Simon will end up in trouble on the film, which focuses on the friends as they go on holiday in Malia. "Simon's going to be like a lamb to the slaughter because he's something of an innocent really," he said. "He's kind of a sweet character really - he doesn't really know what he's doing. That is as much to say he'll be like any teenager on their first holiday." Thomas recently revealed that filming on the Inbetweeners movie has already started.
