My 'Born This Way' vinyl turned up today!

The album was my everything when it came out (and still is of course) - I would listen to it non-stop and force my family to be educated too, by insisting on putting the CD on in the car :kink: 'The Queen' wasn't an ultimate favourite for me at the time but it's crept up on me over the years! Its structure is magnificent.

I can definitely remember where I was when the album first came out. I can remember specific walks I took in the evenings just so I could listen to the album on repeat with no distractions.

It also holds a special place in my heart. I can confidently say, it has made me into the person I am today. It is responsible for so much of my happiness!

Why am I tearing up at this?

I'm a damn nostalgic MESS tonight! :cheeseblock:

I've just listened to the entire album in full and MY GOD what a body of work. It's going to take something very, very special for her to top this album for me.

'Bloody Mary' and 'Heavy Metal Lover' really have aged like fine wine.

Those are two of the best! HML in particular is life-changing x I don't think she'll ever be able to top this album, but WE SHALL SEE ~

What an album

I remember being at Uni and rushing all of my essays, so I could buy the album, as it was the end of year deadline. Then I dashed to HMV in Oxford St and bought the standard and the deluxe editions of BTW, and literally everyone else in the shop, who was either browsing or queuing to pay, all had a Gaga album on them ☺️

I remember exactly where I was when I first got hold of it too. This was a magical time, I can't believe it will be 10 years next year.

Rushing to HMV (God I miss the days of buying CD's from there :() first thing that morning when it opened and being bitter because there was one other girl ahead of me who had got the album  I wanted to be first!!!

The rest is history. An album which will stay with me until the day I die

The photoshoots from this album were all legendary - can we get some loving for them? The single artwork but also pretty much all images to come from her professional shoot. A R T

Just a quick google search confirms what I mean: https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1GGRV_e...517&bih=730

How all of these images happened and we ended up with Bikega on the cover ...

Literally every single one of those pics would’ve made an incredible album cover

The one in the thigh high heels where’s she’s bending over and the Hair cover are my faves. The BTW jacket one would’ve made the most sense as an album cover but maybe it was too controversial at the time.

I’ve never noticed the one of her on the bike before but that one is great as well. Would’ve made a great cover for Highway Unicorn

OK we have near the SAME taste in these images.

The 'Hair' cover is a major favourite of mine and was my phone background for ages:

I also LOVE the other one you've mentioned:

Also the colour-fluid ones are gorgeous too and would also have made a great,s triking cover I believe:

It provided us with so much art <3

The single cover for The Edge Of Glory is my favourite artwork from her from this era tbh!

That's a big favourite of mine too. Ugh the aesthetics here (away from the album cover) were just perfect.

Omg I was gonna mention the slime one in colour as well, it’s definitely my 3rd fave. Taste!

I can’t think of a better or more iconic album photoshoot - it’s a work of art

I'm currently listening to this album in its entirety and honestly, I can't ever see her topping it for me personally. There isn't a single moment that lets up or allows you to pause or stop. It is wall-to-wall bangers with such beautiful lyrics and meanings behind every song. A true masterpiece~
