I listened to the album earlier today and it brought back so many memories, I also found myself appreciating songs that I didn't at the time. Hair is just so fun that I can't see why I didn't previously like it, I must have been going through a hella serious phase back in 2011. Even Judas sounded better this time around.

Happy decade anniversary for one of the greatest albums of the 2010's!

Happy anniversary *.* I'll have to play the vinyl later to celebrate.

Would love to be able to go back and relive this album being brand new. I can't believe it's 10 years ago. I certainly wouldn't mind being 23 again either :kink:

Here is my post/review of the album and its impact on me 10 years later:

The most important album of my life. Happy 10th birthday, 'Born This Way'.

I wish I could be strong without somebody there~

10 years ago I was insecure, unconfident, confused and lost. Without any shadow of a doubt, this album gave me security, confidence, answers and a path to follow. It single-handedly changed my life in ways I struggle to explain.

A concept album about identity, pride, freedom and individuality, it's a rip-roaring stadium-filling experience that doesn't once let up. The album combines pop, dance, electro-rock, techno, opera, heavy metal, disco, house, rock n roll; it has French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portugese lyrics; it has show-stopping vocals and electrifying beats. It is a wholly inclusive album for the outcasts, further building a community of "freaks" and "bad kids" that found solace and freedom in the lyrics. It gave the fans hope that their insecurities could be a strength and their silenced thoughts could be said out loud proudly.

In the months that led up to the album's release, Gaga was all I could think or care about - I followed her every move meticulously. I watched her live performances and interviews with pure unadultered love. She was everything I needed at a time when retrospectively I needed it most.

My favourite songs 'Marry The Night' and 'The Edge of Glory' bookmark the album; it opens in darkness, embracing and celebrating it, and ends with a life that has been lived to its fullest eventually ending. Between that there are pride anthems 'Born This Way' and 'Hair', the fist-pumping 'Heavy Metal Lover' and 'Scheiße', the haunting 'Bloody Mary', the liberating 'Highway Unicorn (Road to Love)', and a plethora of other stand-out moments that combine to make the loudest, proudest album I've ever experienced. Seeing the songs come to life on tour and in the era's music videos will play out in my head forevermore.

This album gave me a voice and an identity and I am forever grateful for it. Here's to 10 more years living this way.

Thank Ü.

Wait until they announce something only next week when the hype is already gone
They could release a limited version of the album on Monday to help the album re-enter the charts after ARTPOP got too close. You only need 6k in the US and 1.5k in the UK to enter the charts.

^ that'd be amazing!

Also intrigued for the Spotify figures tomorrow. Sunday numbers usually take a dip don't they? So it'll be interesting to compare to last Sunday's figures. Hoping for some high numbers again!
