8/10 from NME. As MEANINGLESS as it quite frankly is.

Heavy Metal Lover is seriously astounding. I know everybody is loving the left-field element of this album and how risky and experimental it is and that can be nice but it's just so refreshing to hear a song which is fairly laid back and simplistic and has a gorgeous melody with a few ooh-oohs thrown in for good measure.

I'm gonna warn you, my opinion will not be liked.

 

Frankly I find the album weak, the only songs I like are "Marry The Night", "Judas", "Bloody Mary", "Highway Unicorn", "Heavy Metal Lover", "Electric Chapel" & "The Edge Of Glory". And even then, I keep skipping to Andrea Lewis' debut CD. Nothing is too eye-catching.

 

There is something about her vocal delivery that is annoying as well. And the album sounds like a one-hit wonders finest from 1986.

scheibe is incredible but i'm not wild, this rip is obviously pretty low quality tho, v0 should make for a better listen

 

she's still dealing with some pretty big ideas here which is relatively unheard of for a pop star. obviously will be the pop release of the year.

Giving this $h!t another listen before I turn off and go to bed. This time, headphones in and volume LOUD. 'Marry the Night' already sounds 10x better than it did just from my laptop speakers.

If this album's taught me anything it's that goverment is actually spelt government :unsure:

I don't like the heavy guitair in the studio version of You and I. It would of worked Piano based like Speechless. So i am disappointed in that as i have loved the live version for such a long time.
