Hardly. And it is undebateable, for so many reasons which i wont go in to as there are so many, leona is the artist who is thought of when people think of most successful talent show winner.

She's done amazingly well yes, but I think Kelly Clarkson. On a worldwide scale, she's done consistently better.

Kelly Clarkson there is a bigger argument for over Will Young i accept, but still think leona lewis has that edge on her, the thing is kelly (also shes from the US) & will have the time factor as they won years before leona, but leona has had about half the amount of time, 4-5 years and has become the most successful talent show winner of all time, she will just build on that label, people can attempt to argue against it now, but in time its going to be impossible to argue against. ^_^

Is she really singing the flood? That's a little weird!

No, shes singing Promise This. She basically confirmed it on Chris Moyles this morning.

To be fair, performing 'the Flood' would be a clever move. 'Promise This' will go to #1 without the X-Factor (and still, even if she performs another song, it will indirectly push 'Promise This' too), and performing 'The Flood' could show another part of her album. And albums are what is counted really as you earn much more from them. And if she sings 'The Flood' well live, it will be the double 'check' for her, as this is not a simple song to be sung.

Cheryl should sing promise this since its the song that will be released that week. I bet she will get another slot for the flood.

Plus, it could shoot the track into the top 10 alongside Promise This.

Talking of which, didn't 3 words (single) get to #27 during the week of the album release and stayed there until it peaked at #4 in December somewhen. I wonder if we'll see a similar thing happen with The Flood, it was played on both Radio 1 and 2 today

No, the one of the same name by Cheryl Cole. It's her second single and premiered on Radio 1 this morning (like 3 words was)

There is more chance of David Cameron beating Nick Clegg to death than Cheryl singing well or singing live, shes hardly Leona but that really made me laugh.

Who is downloading You'll always find me in the Kitchen at parties and why is it climbing.

I see. What's up with there being 2 'The Flood's then? We could have 2 songs in the top 10 with the same title which are not the same song for the first time since... a long time ago?

She's probably wont sing The Flood anyway, so it wont chart for at least another week anyway :P

They're both on the same label too, which is somewhat interesting.

Unlikely the top 10, but I certainly see it being in the top 40/30 when the album is released like 3 words was.

It premiered WHAT I MISSED IT

There's also two songs called 'Higher' coming up (one by The Saturdays, one by Taio Cruz + Kylie Minogue). It'll be a confusing few weeks.

Not really only if you are thick or deaf.

If Cheryl's album was being released the day after her X-Factor performance, then I could understand her wanting to perform another track, but as it's not, she might as well sing her current single.

Her album won't sell even half of 3 Words.

This time last year, Fight For This Love was played til death until it was released. I might have heard Promise This 2 or 3 times. At my work, no-one knows that song. (Hmm majority don't listen to R1). Rihanna, who I don't care about, has got million times better song at the moment.

Cheryls X Factor performance will be incredible and then the massive sales will follow :D

I've heard Promise This quite a lot to be fair. I hear it about 3 times a day I reckon. Rihanna's song, I think is better, and I hear it about twice as much as Cheryl's song.

I like both songs a lot to be fair, so I'm not going to be furious or anything if Cheryl beats Rihanna to #1.
