With the growing surge of staying power of albums in the albums chart (Bob Marley & The Wailers - Legend, Paolo Nutini - These Streets, Kings Of Leon - Only By The Night, Whitney Houston - The Ultimate collection), i began to wonder what album(s) has the record of holding the most amount of charts postions in the top 40/75?

ABBA - Gold (Greatest Hits) had the most chart positions as far as I can remember last year or some time.

ABBA - Gold (Greatest Hits) had the most chart positions as far as I can remember last year or some time.

He'll be able to confirm it himself but I think zeus said that Abba Gold completed the full top 75 (or it may have been top 100) set last year when it spent a week at number 42. Hitchhiker's Guide fans a permitted a little chuckle at this point.

I think Gold - Greatest Hits has every position in the top 75 but is missing a few in the 80s
