It was pretty unlikely that it was going to - let's face it, after you've added and deducted each person, even if you're giving reasons you just start repeating yourself until the end

it is one of the most pointless games ever tbh.

Okay.

I think the fact that we have such large team groups enables all of the team to solely focus on posting within their individual forums as there is usually someone else there to chat to (plus at the moment it is all rather post focused). On ChC the groups were limited to somewhere between 6 and 10 and hence this didn't happen as often so people had to continue to stray into the rest of the forum. I shall not pretend that this was by design as it's really not like we thought it through in that level of detail or anything.

As I say, I do recognise the effort you're all putting in though so I don't want to sound all moany (although that would appear to be my theme for today as I'm sure the other folk in team champers will testify to!).

I'm beginning to think the teams are too big also. Everytime I go in there I find about 10 new threads and a hundred posts to wade through and to be frank it's putting me off. I liked the idea of interesting chats with like minded people which had no real need to be shared with everyone on the site but now I'm starting to feel obliged to post stuff and be spammy and I'm not sure I want that. It's also meaning I can't be bothered to check out all the other threads i normally would so am in danger of disappearing into Toxics and never seeing anyone else. It's not the people in the team, although some I am still yet to meet, as I have no problem with anyone but I do miss seeing others posts about the place. Maybe I'm in the wrong team or shouldn't be in one at all. I won't be online pretty much all day tomorrow as I'm going to a gig and I know I'll come home to a ton of stuff and never have time to read it all.

I dunno. I'm not making any decisions now as I'm clearly feeling a bit down but I'll wait and see.

I do appreciate the effort you guys have all gone to to organise this thing and if everyone else loves it don't let me spoil the party (not that you would)

I think people need to bear in mind that we are very much in the "honeymoon" phase of all this.

Posting on BJ has increased about 400% (literally!) with this whole teams thing, and that's not sustainable. I very much expect things will get a little quieter as time goes on and teams are more familiar with each other and the novelty wears off.

3/4 of the participants will be off to school or uni in a couple of weeks so undoubtedly there will be a decline in posts

I don't see anyone who is at uni saying "sorry can't go for that drink with you tonight sweetpea I have to play games on an internet forum", it won't happen, people will get lives again in a couple of weeks and people at school will have homework to do and go to bed earlier, in couple of weeks time I would imagine activity will be 1/3 of what it is now

Craig, I wish you'd post more in our actual forum as opposed to bitching at Tyron in here, then we can actually get points for it ^_^

In order for there to be diversity teams should change each week or each couple of weeks, each month every player spends a week in each team and it rotates, breaks up cliques, gives everyone a chance to mix with other people outside of their goldfish bowl and so on

But that my dear watson doesn't answer my question. ;)

Defeating purpose much?

Defeating purpose much?

Not at all

My team are a friendly crowd, have had some good discussions with them but as this is a year long game we are going to know each other inside out after a few weeks and the whole thing nice though they are will be very same'y, BJ's answer to Groundhog Day, same opinions, same views, know each other inside out, mixing things up would be good, stops things possibly getting stale as you are mixing with new people with new opinions and new debates.

maybe not mix everyone just switch a few at a time?

Yeah thats what I mean, each week 5 members swap with 5 members of a different team and it all rotates so everyone gets to spend time in each team at some point

We are considering doing team shuffles at the end of each 'quarter' - so the next team switch would come at the beginning of October.

Good to hear, diversity is a good thing and wide range of views and opinions are a good thing, 1 year in the same team with the same 19 faces would with the greatest of respect to the current "housemates" become boring as hell as will know their views on everything within a few weeks and they will know mine so a year recycling the same old opinions would be Zzzzzzzzzzz

I always thought of Norma as a nice old lady. But she got spunk!

lol indeed. I don't know if it's good or bad though!

Au revoir.
