September 1, 201014 yr Where does that figure come from? Every single alarmist projection of the population in the past has been way off the mark. People living longer, uncontrolled EU immigration, non EU immigration
September 1, 201014 yr FYI, unskilled workers from outside the EU aren't actually allowed to immigrate here anymore (unless they're seeking asylum). EU immigration is the big problem, as the EU expands and more and more economically backward nations being allowed to join along with Turkey it is open season for Europeans to come settle here Edited September 1, 201014 yr by I ❤ JustinBieber

September 1, 201014 yr People living longer, uncontrolled EU immigration, non EU immigration And the same sort of thing was used to justify previous estimates, all of which proved to be hopelessly wrong.

The best way for them to develop into mature democracies is for their citizens to stay where they are and help shape that nation and put it on to the path of a prosperous economy instead of getting on the next Ryan Air/Easyjet flight to the UK or Germany.

But it's membership of the EU that provides a back-up for those countries. Why else do you think the attempted coup in Spain happened while they were moving towards membership? The military knew that it was their last chance to seize power.
September 1, 201014 yr Craig, you need to accept one small fact. We would be f***ed without the EU. You and all your moronic shortsighted toff friends in the Tories need to accept that we need the EU. You little scare stories about the Eastern Europeans raping our economy etc is $h!t. This is one thing you will NEVER be right on and we will always be right on ^_^

The military knew that it was their last chance to seize power. They can still be in it, there is just no real reason why we need to be a part of it or bound by things We should form an alliance with Germany, France and Spain and draw up a trading pact with those nations and other nations if they wish but without being bound by stuff like citizens of other countries coming in droves to live here.

You obviously either didn't read or chose to ignore my earlier post. If we wish to trade with the EU (and we'd be well and truly stuffed if we didn't) we have to abide by their rules. As long as we're a member we have some say in what those rules are. If we leave, we have no say at all. Besides, I thought you were all in favour of a free market. Why shouldn't that apply to people?

This is one thing you will NEVER be right on and we will always be right on ^_^ They need us more than we need them, us and Germany and France are the only countries in Europe that are economic powerhouses, the rest are either economically backward, crippled by debt thanks to the Euro and not allowed to change their interest rates because of a treaty or too small to be of any economic significance. If we pulled out of the EU it would make absolutely no difference to our trading within Europe while at the same time we would not be burdened with bailing out lame duck countries and not bound to take in all their economic migrants

I have no issue with doctors, nurses etc coming over from other EU countries, the ones I have objection to are the unemployed, the pikeys, the squeegee merchants, the car washers, the Eastern European beggars that harrass people on underground trains, the ones that send all their money home instead of spending it here etc We should have a right as a country to decide who lives here and who doesn't Edited September 1, 201014 yr by I ❤ JustinBieber
September 2, 201014 yr I have no issue with doctors, nurses etc coming over from other EU countries, the ones I have objection to are the unemployed, the pikeys, the squeegee merchants, the car washers, the Eastern European beggars that harrass people on underground trains, the ones that send all their money home instead of spending it here etc We should have a right as a country to decide who lives here and who doesn't And why shouldn't they send money home to their families, kids, etc, would you rather they bring them over and then have to get benefits from the state...? At least it proves they actually care and actually have a sense of morals instead of just being completely irresponsible and pishing up against the wall, obviously they MUST be spending something here, how would they eat otherwise...? And how is it essentially any different to what British workers did in industries like construction in the 80s when they were thrown on the scrapheap by Maggie...? Remember the series Auf Wiedersehen Pet...? It was actually based on reality you know... Brit workers lived relatively cheaply in accomodation provided by their employers and sent money home to their families, which is surely a GOOD thing... Or maybe we should be like Sarkozy and basically bully people onto planes like they've done with the Romany.... Yeah, some great Vichy-style sh"t that is....
September 2, 201014 yr In fairness, his views are only the second most terrifying in this thread. Agreed, frankly I was beginning to think that "Shelli Louise Po" was a Crazy Chris psuedonym or him using a different account... But no, Mr "Common Sense" seems to have made a return.... I find Craig objectionable, but at least he forms his arguments, unlike Shelli whose posts read like a bratty teenager, or someone who believes every single word the Tabloids say....
September 2, 201014 yr Maybe my post where I said it was not to do with clothing was lost on you ;) I never said it was to do with clothing it was more to do with facial expressions, look at that horrible boy at the front in the black t shirt, the look on his face, he has evil written all over him from the facial expression and his brother next to him isn't much better, the one at the back with the grey top again looks a right nasty piece of work with his hairstyle and look on his face etc, it was nowt to do with clothing And that woman at the front she looks like the ugly sister of the woman that took her kids to Raul Moat's funeral Way-hey, it's the "let's make prejoritive judgements about people based purely on what they look like/how they're dressed" game.... Okay Craig, I've seen pics of you, and frankly if I were to apply that standard to you, I'd have to conclude you were a creepy looking p**** or a sex offender.... Here's the thing - large family units (yes, amongst the working classes) were a feature of this country for centuries, historically speaking, only up until relatively recently... Now, of course that had much to do with lack of birth control, the higher infant mortality rate, etc, but still, the whole concept of the "nuclear family" of mum, dad and the archetypal "two point four" kids is really only a recent phenomenon in terms of history... So, really in this sophisticated democracy that we are supposed to have in the 21st century, our society should really be able to cope with large family units far easier than in the past, surely.... It's not as if these people are "scroungers", they're not life-long dolies, they work hard, they're not " layabout chavs" they're the Working Poor, paying into the system, the system in turn is failing them by not even being able to provide adequate social housing, and frankly I find that a fukkin' disgrace tbh..... <_<

September 2, 201014 yr LOL difference is that the typical p**** is not a fat skinhead Paul Gadd....?
September 2, 201014 yr Fair play to the guy for working but no way can a mum give 10 kids the love and attention they need I doubt shifting them around adoption centers will solve that.
September 2, 201014 yr I doubt shifting them around adoption centers will solve that. Exactly... Yeah, put them into "care", then they'll be in a kids home with dozens of other kids.. How much love and attention they gonna get there from overworked and underpaid staff...?
September 2, 201014 yr Author I may come across as a bratty teenager Grimly, but you come across as someone who doesnt accept anyone elses opinion on anything. Im surprised your head can fit in this thread. Good day and good night.
September 2, 201014 yr Author What do people suggest this lady do then? She cant cope and has 10 children?
