Yeah, I'm also a bit surprised how early they are releasing 'Higher'. But maybe they try to coincide the release with their reality show more, if it is far away (end of October) this reality-show won't have any effect. And now the hype is building up already, it is top-75 in iTunes!

 

I think this early release is fine but they should bring it back for a week when the times won't be that competitive.

Yeah, I think they definitely need to tie it in with their reality show.

 

I must say, watched their two 24/7 shows earlier today and I used to think The Saturdays and their fanboys were annoying - having now seen the show, I actually think they're all very nice girls (and 3 of them are HOT - I thought only Vanessa was hot before I saw a Miley look-a-like and then Rochelle). True to form though, their fanboys remain extremely annoying!

 

The reality show should definitely help them out with single releases. The Higher performance this week was good, but what was with the ridiculous OTT autotune?

That's a small gap when you consider that was a transition between last single of album 2 and first single of album 3

 

Also, there was meant to be another Wordshaker single after Ego but it was cancelled

 

But considering their singles were usually 3 months after the other, 7 was a hefty gap for The Saturdays.

Hope Alex Burke can hit the top spot over the next couple of days - I've had Start Without You since 7th June and it still hasn't gotten old for me. :wub:

I'm a huge Alex fan and I'm not buying it. It's truly bad. :( I'm not going to encourage Alex to release low quality songs by buying it.

 

I'll still support Alex this week though. It's far better than McFly's PG and Alesha's DB. I haven't heard TS's song yet.

I don't think Start Without You is Bad. I prefer it to Hallelujah, Bad Boys, Broken Heels and The Silence.

How's it a low quality song though Six? :unsure: Its catchy, has a different influence to what plagues the chart these days; the only low quality bit for me is the rapping which isn't anywhere near on a par with e.g. Bad Boys and California Gurls.

 

It might not have the lyrical beauty of a track such as Happy but that doesn't make it low quality.

i dont like alex, but i do think shes made a really good song start without you, and its my fav since halelujah, although they completely messed up with the video lol. I suprisingly prefer party girl out off the new releases

Yeah I see what u mean actually. still, it's catchy and I really do hope it goes to #1 (I genuinely think it has a great shot too).

Week of Death I do not think that will happen,I think out of the new releases only two of the front runners will go Top 10 probably Alex and Mcfly and hopefully Alesha and The Script will go Top 20.

Its low quality in the eyes of most people I know. The majority of opinions on the song are mainly negative. If you like it thats fine but I think you will be in the minority.

Me too hope it has a strong start, she is on Daybreak on Tuesday but not a huge amount of promotion next week.

 

When does Bruno Mars, Just the way you are get released? Such a brilliant song, if this flops it will be criminal.
