the first week of september has been a really busy week for new releases of late- this week we will probably get top 10 entries from Alexandra, McFly, Alesha Dixon and The Script, plus this time last year we had top 10 entries from Pixie Lott, Mika, Mini Viva and Muse! :o must be a popular release week

It seems strange to have the new entries to the Top 20 as British acts rather than American.Hope it is a big sales week as well.McFly seem to have promotion everyday next week.Alesha may have to settle for Top 20 now,not sure why the song did not take off it was good to see her go in a new direction.Alex better release a ballad next though,she has done well with her uptempos but would like The Silence to be next.

Anyway, it's a quality ballad so if Alex's team can't find a better ballad, TS has a right to be released.

 

I hope Bruno Mars produces another ballad for Alex. 'Perfect' would have been a great single but it's been "out" for over a year now.

Yeah but only if they shift a lot of physicals and/or catch up on Alexandra on iTunes - last time I checked they were about 80% behind Alex's bar.

The Script better not join Scissor Sisters and The Hoosiers as a returning act peaking at #11. :(

McFly are very well known as huge physical sellers but that was practically in another age.

Promotion on some shows tends to do very little for giving songs a boost, I think it is getting on the right shows that counts.Alex and Alesha both have Daybreak(think Alesha has a slot), she also has a live lounge.Nothing has been confirmed as the new single to launch the re-release of Overcome and a new song may not sell better than what is obviously the best song and fan favorite off Overcome, The Silence.Ireland is part of the British Isles, Bray.

Alexandra's past 2 singles stalled within the top 5 then started dropping. I don't think she's a contender. It's Katy's to lose this week especially with the last Alan Carr show this season.
