That wasn't a fake, it was just a different version, for some reason it was downloaded instead of Keri's version (which Cher Lloyd actually sang) or Soulja Boy's (the original) :)

I'm not impreeeesssseed. The original is better, the rap added nothing into the song. The example of good rapping in the song = 'Loca', both English and Spanish versions. And this is... oh well.

Oh please, their fans will lose any credibility if they support this awful version.

The original version was very good, Flo Rida rap just doesn't fit at all in it and it is quite a ridiculous move from them.

Is the single version of Higher the same as the album version, with the usual rap verse replacing the bridge, or are there other differences too?

 

I suspect The Saturdays will be promoting both versions though. There's no way stations like Heart will play the single version, and Flo Rida is unlikely to be at hand for most of their performances of the song.

I think it's a good move by them. I mean you can't exactly turn down Flo Rida, who has had hit after hit.

 

There are so many good reasons for this move. People will download the single edit with Flo Rida and the standard Higher album version..I reckon they will do an E.P with the album version and FLo Rida edits..Most will buy two copies..So at the end of the day it will help them.

 

Not to mention it will get heaps more plays in clubs with Flo Rida Remix edits and ultimately will benefit from the Weekend effect as did Ego.

 

Lastly, People who love Flo Rida may download it and if you look at the charts most of the song's are female vocalists with a male rap artist or vice versa and it's clearly the makings of a hit,whether it will go down well with fans or not, it will ultimately make people see The Saturday's in a new light.Help draw in new fans,Whilst the fans who don't like it still have the option to get the original version.

 

Personally I adore the FLo Rida version but then I do like Flo.I must admit I also Love Una's part so i'm currently torn..Definitely the right move for them though.

 

Oh they have made one mistake though releasing on the 1st Nov...Clearly far too late!

Loads of haters..who are moaning about how they like the old version more..

 

Erm the album edit isn't changing so what's the big deal some people will prefer Flo's others won't I don't get why everyone is having a fit about it on Youtube?

 

I still think Flo's version will end up higher(no pun intended) than the album edit.

Just goes to show there a lot of ppl don't actually care who sings the (any) song, as long as it sounds like what they hear on the radio/TV.

 

And I don't think Bruno's record company will release this Sunday. They're more likely looking at a way to get the cover removed from iTunes - good luck with that :lol:
