So pleased for Shontelle, how far from 10 is she.Once she goes Top 10 she is sure to climb and hopefully stick there come Sunday.Really surprised that it looks like she is going to do better than Alesha who was playlisted by R1.Alex needs to hold on, another week at No 1 would be great.

Of course, that *was* back when physical sales actually mattered...

 

We've just seen with McFly how acts reliant on them come unstuck nowadays, and MSP have had far less publicity for this release - not to mention evn fewer downloads...

But let's be honest: they are still in the top-10 in both midweeks and iTunes. Even if Shontelle overtakes them they will clearly have another top-20 (top-15?) week with decent sales. They didn't get top-5 but got much better sales than peak weeks of 'One for the Radio' and 'Lies'. I'm not sure now about 100k by them but it's not impossible. Surely then they survived in this climate?

Glad to see Manics are climbing to get a Top 40 hit at least when combined with physicals, but sadly it's too late for Robyn :cry:

Shontelle should really overtake the wanted before they get top 10 first and it will become more difficult to overtake them, she needs to get a move on!

Katy On A Mission has been huge! It's one of the songs I hear the most when I'm out and about now at the moment, along with Teenage Dream, Please Don't Let Me Go, and the whole of Eminem's album.

 

Also, can't believe that Shontelle is almost top 10! :o But will The Wanted get there first?

maroon 5 have done alright to gotop 40 considering they werent supported by radio1!!

Yes, these songs have been lucky to have pretty much blanket coverage and exposure everywhere else, not every song gets this.

^ Yes, but i have seen maroon 5 endlessly on music channels..
