It's not that I'm letting my opinions cloud my judgement (I actually like the track anyway), it just seems to be lacking in much of a hook/anything really memorable which is kind of essential to get a big hit these days, so I'm not quite getting the "huge #1!" predictions.

 

I agree, I've just listened to it for the first time now, and I think it's a nice song, but I can't remember any of it! :o It needs a chorus like in Airplanes, where people can't stop singing it to themselves for about 6 months.

It will be top-10 easily without X-Factor, with XF it has a shot to #1. But I said and ensured everyone that Alesha would get top-10 and see where it ended. :lol:

I hate how people use dated... there is really no such thing in music. You could say it's not in style right now but that isn't a bad thing.. If everyone released current sounding music, we'd be overrun with Roll Deep $h!t.. and if no one took the risk to try a new style, how could we ever progress into new musical styles? We'd be stuck in the same genre forever because everyone is playing it safe. I personally find the older sound quite refreshing and new - it has all been done before, but like when Lady Gaga came with something "dated" and 80s last year, look how popular that style is now!

There have always been polls for big forthcoming singles, even for artists who have their own forum... :wacko:

 

And the whole point of "guessing" is to guess it as early as possible. The closest we'll get to the release, the more clues we'll have on how it should do (with airplays, pre-orders, promo schedule, etc.), and then it's not really a wild guess anymore.

And anyway we're only 5 weeks away from Cheryl's release and 6 weeks away from Nadine's release, it's not THAT far away.

This poll is a little early, i went for top 3 though. It could go to no1 depending on airplay, it's certainly not impossible.

I think the song is fantastic.

... that's why I won't say it! :lol: But at least Cheryl's debut solo song was heaps better than this - I wasn't over-fond of it - but at least I could understand it being a hit.

Nadine has a really good voice but not the media coverage that Cheryl. I put top 5 as I love her voice.

This is now my fave song atm, I'd love to say number 1 instead of top 5, but I really can't see it going higher than number 4 tbh :cry:

 

Will Radio 1 playlist though, or will it end up on Radio 2, like VV Brown did.
