November 5, 201014 yr With its itunes performance at present its likely its only now fighting for a top 20 placing, very disapointing but i guess the album is more important and going by the performance of the single its very hard to now predict how the album will do.
November 5, 201014 yr It'll drop out of the top 25 before Sunday unfortunately, it's a shame as I really adore this song. :(
November 5, 201014 yr I was hoping Nadine would be moving closer to #20 not number 30, i hope it can stop dropping on itunes at the least.
November 5, 201014 yr Yeah, this will be lucky for Top 25. :( Top 20 is completely out of the question, now. Such a bad start to her solo career! One of the worst starts for a girl group member gone solo. Just for fun, comparing debut singles (UK only): #1 - Amelle - Never Leave You [with Tinchy Stryder] #1 - Melanie B - I Want You Back [with Missy Elliott] #2 - Victoria Beckham - Out Of Your Mind [with Truesteppers & Dane Bowers] #2 - Emma Bunton - What I Am [with Tin Tin Out] #2 - Geri Halliwell - Look At Me #3 - Melanie C - When You're Gone [with Bryan Adams] #4 - Cheryl Cole - Heartbreaker [with will.i.am] #6 - Melanie Blatt - Twenty Four Seven [with Artful Dodger] #8 - Shaznay Lewis - Never Felt Like This Before #8 - Louise - Light Of My Life #14 - Alesha - Lipstick #14 - Kelle Bryan - Higher Than Heaven #15 - Mutya - This Is Not Real Love [with George Michael] #19 - Siobhan Donaghy - Overrated #62 - Frankie Sandford - Undercover Lover [with Kids In Glass Houses] #120 - Sabrina Washington - OMG or if you like, just the 'proper' first singles: #1 - Melanie B - I Want You Back [with Missy Elliott] #1 - Emma Bunton - What Took You So Long? #1 - Cheryl Cole - Fight For This Love #2 - Mutya Buena - Real Girl #2 - Geri Halliwell - Look At Me #4 - Melanie C - Goin' Down #6 - Victoria Beckham - Not Such An Innocent Girl #8 - Shaznay Lewis - Never Felt Like This Before #8 - Louise - Light Of My Life #14 - Alesha - Lipstick #14 - Kelle Bryan - Higher Than Heaven #18 - Mel Blatt - Do Me Wrong #19 - Siobhan Donaghy - Overrated #120 - Sabrina Washington - OMG Well, at least she's doing better than Sabrina?
November 5, 201014 yr :cheer: at Nadine flopping, the song is crap so I'm not surprised That didn't stop Cheryl from going to #1 this week... Anyhow, I just heard that Will.I.Am/Nicki Minaj song for the first time and :puke2: it relies on the "wooahh" hook from 'Video Killed The Radio Star', how pointless, tacky and unoriginal. His band's new single is based around 'Time Of Your Life' from Dirty Dancing too, what is he becoming?

November 5, 201014 yr ^^ interesting list Jay. Seems like she should have 'introduced' herself to the solo world featuring on someone else's record
November 5, 201014 yr whats strange is that usually a solo artist from a band has their 1st or 2nd single was there biggest, so if Nadine is only making #25 now and her next one is no different, its fair to say their will be a form of girls aloud reunion sooner than people think..
November 5, 201014 yr Last weeks no.29 sold 12065 . Could Nadine be headed for 15,000? If she sold 3,000 on 1st day, isn't that quite a good rebound?

One of the worst starts for a girl group member gone solo. Just for fun, comparing debut singles (UK only): ... #62 - Frankie Sandford - Undercover Lover [with Kids In Glass Houses] ... This was actually the second song Frankie has received a solo credit on. http://www.chartstats.com/songinfo.php?id=470 I Dream feat. Frankie Sandford and Calvin Goldspink (2004 #19) The cover just says 'Frankie & Calvin' but Frankie is definitely referring to Sandford.

His band's new single is based around 'Time Of Your Life' from Dirty Dancing too, what is he becoming? All 5 of the singles from the previous album used samples (except Boom Boom Pow, but that was basically a cover of Planet Rock ). It's nothing new for them, it's just the sampling is a lot more obvious in these songs, plus, the samples are very well-known. However, there's nothing wrong with using samples. At the end of the day, the way I see it, if a song sounds nice, I'll listen to it. I don't care if it's a cover, or uses autotune, or contains a sample, etc. will.i.am usually delivers in the "sounding nice" department for me. Plus, he samples his own songs (e.g. Boom Boom Pow is sampled in OMG, 3 Words is almost sampled in The Time), and a couple of times an obscure song of his has been sampled, and the song doing the sampling has become a massive hit (e.g. American Boy), so it's not like he's not been on the receiving end of it.
November 6, 201014 yr I see that the press hate campaign against Nadine has worked. Just cos chav cole is the 'nations sweetheart'
November 6, 201014 yr Can't believe that talentless miss "front cover of the nation" got 2 versions of her single inside Top 30, and her bandmate, who can actually sing, is trying to stay Top 40!
November 6, 201014 yr Its the song though, its really our of date, so old fashioned, not good at all. Needed beter material. -_-
November 6, 201014 yr and nadine comes across as an evil witch in the media True, the media hate her, they present her as the baddy
