album leaked!

With a few exceptions I love it. By far his best album. His vocals are outstanding. Obsession, Human, Close To Close, Foolish are all great. What a shame they chose the second worse track as the single! (Nobody Knows is the worst).

What a shame - with the right single choices and no covers this would have been brilliant. There's something really refreshing and different about the best tracks.

Obsession's version really remind me of "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart"

Not heard the album yet but from some reviews its said that there are some really great tracks on there and a few "iffy" ones, but then you always get that! Such a shame as you say that GBS was chosen as lead single,so hope it won't put people off buying. He has such great vocals. He has said he will be doing accoustic sets at some stage. Hope so!

I love Human and Someone Like You so much.

Human would have made a brilliant first single. I can't get my head around why Simon Cowell chose Gotta Be Somebody as the first single. Why a cover? When there are much better original songs on the album, and songs that would have stood a much better chance of radio airplay. It's just stupid.

My personal choice for a single would have been Human for sure. I was thinking last night about what they should have went with for a single and putting my personal choice aside, I would say maybe Crash or Waiting in the Wings. It's hard for me to choose. I just know I wouldn't have went with GBS as a choice at all.

I was a bit nervous about this album but have to say I am pleasently surprised by it. In fact I think I like it better than "Breathless " it seems to flow better somehow! Yes his vocals are outstanding and there are some great tunes on it. "Foolish " atm sticks out for me but will probably change my mind after a few more listens. Well done Shayne.

I hope the album manages to stay top 10 for him this week, im not a huge fan but he is one of the better x factor winners and most of his singles have been ok.
I dont like the lead single but have to say, the album overall was quite good when I heard clips of it on itunes.

Try and listen in full to a couple of the original songs - Obsession, Human. Crash, Foolish, all are great. It's not the cheesy disposable pop some people might think, just great songs beautifully sung. If however, you liked 'If That's OK With You' the album might not be for you, the only track similar to ITOWY is Someone Like You.

I saw him live last night and he also turned on our Christmas lights... He sung 'Gotta Be Somebody' and 'No U Hang Up'; both of which were superb! :D He's a really good live vocalist, and the album is very strong too. :D

Shayne Ward has become the latest 'X Factor' winner to be dropped by Simon Cowell's record label Syco, according to reports.

As recently reported by AOL Music, it had been said that 2009 winner Joe McElderry had been axed by the label soon after supporting Jedward at a free gig in Northern Ireland.

And now, a Syco spokesman has confirmed that Ward, who won 'X Factor' in 2005, has seen his "contract come to an end", according to The Sun.

He seems destined to join the growing list of male 'X Factor' flops, which includes the likes of housewives' favourite Steve Brookstein and Scottish singer Leon Jackson, who won the show in 2007.

Speaking of Ward's axe, a Syco spokesman said: "After five very successful years and an international career which saw him sell over 3.2 million records, Shayne's contract has come to an end."

An industry source told the newspaper: "Shayne's a nice lad and works hard but people just don't seem to want to buy his music. He doesn't fit into the categories of stuff kids buy. He'd be better off in a boy band."

The last noises heard coming out of the Shayne Ward camp were reports suggesting that he was set revisit his Irish traveller roots by joining fellow former 'X Factor' contestant Cher Lloyd in a TV programme about 'celebrity gypsies'.

:( Shame. I really don't mind Shayne at all. I probably wouldn't buy an album of his but the stuff he releases isn't bad at all.

Hardly unexpected - I was surprised they even gave him a third album.

He could probably do some decent stuff but most of his songs are boring/bland IMO, his voice isn't bad but not really my thing.

I'd disagree when they say the kids don't want to buy his music. My sister has all 3 of his albums despite them clearly being a bit meh.

I think Syco have just put no effort into him so on the latest era especially, radio just haven't wanted to support sub-par cover songs...

Shame. He had the potential to be like a UK Justin Timberlake. :(

He was the best of the male X Factor winner's to have done well in the charts.

Can Matt Cardle repeat his success?

Also Olly Murs even though he didn't win has quite well for himself.

I don't really get this, his first album was big, his second album was also big. Handful of hits. He was hot too.

Tons of potential!

syco are rubbish -_- alex and leona need to leave

Amen to that they are clueless and dont seem interested in longevity.I am surprised that Simon Cowell has no concern for the X-factor brand he is starting a new American version and culling winners left right and centre.I think Shayne should have left Syco 2 years ago at least he would have had a better chance of getting a new label.

Simon Cowell seemed to lose interest in Shayne in 2006 when he 'found' Leona and from then on it has been tough going for him. As a label they seem to be only able to concentrate on a few artists at a time and Shayne just got pushed aside. He's suffered from awful single choices as well - how could the label think a Nickelback cover was a good choice?

He's got a great look and voice, shame he never really had the material to match.
