8. Thalia 'Closer to You' sent by Shakilover. First Utada and now Thalia langushing at the bottom, it doesn't look promising for Shakilover but fair play for entering a contest and discovering songs which might not be the thing you'd normally seek - it's good to have some variety and don't get too disheartened about all the Thalia talk. People are naughty you really liked my CD from the CD swap you must have fantastic taste. :D

The Wonder Villains 12 moves them within touching distance of the top 3 whilst the lead doesn't change for the first time in 5 votes. Miami Horror climb well into the top 10 from outside and Valravn move into the mid-table mix with 10 points. Telegraphs and Stars climb a few too.

i have a friend who dislikes Lady GaGa so much he illegally downloaded her album just to spite her, and then found furthur pleasure in deleting it.

Oh I feel bad now, I was hoping it would have been one of the typical indie fans that we could mock.

9. Future Islands ft Katrina Ford 'In the Fall' sent by Medicated Soap. KING of contests like these, Ben always does well and Future Islands have started well so far, sitting in 5th.

The top 3 remain static once more although the gap at the top is now just one point. Moon Theory's ascent continues into the top 5 and is closely followed by Wild Nothing. 15 points for Gang Gang Dance means it joins Aloe Blacc in the top 10, both songs having recieved just two votes, both of them being 15 points - marmite? A 10 for Veronica Falls moves it into the top 20 for the first time. Mdnr keep getting the odd point but nothing much, whilst Animal Collective's 8 means there are now just four songs yet to reach double figures.

I did that on Napster when Metallica went mental. Everything they'd ever released. I think it's a point of principle. You have to stand up for what you believe in.
