Lucie Jones auditioned for the 6th series of X Factor in 2009. She became the fifth act to be sent home after losing out to John and Edward, where she was eliminated in a controversial vote-off. She has since been signed to Select Model Management and released her first modelling shots in January 2010. Alongside many other celebrities she teamed up with Cancer Research UK to re-release "Girls Just Want to Have Run" as a charity single. Lucie was signed up to play Cosette in West End production Les Miserables and has appeared in The Sarah Janes Adventures episode, Lost in Time: Part Two.

Overrated. She was good, but she was never THAT good. Her voice has an awkward and horrible tone to it. She didn't deserve to go over Jedward though.

2010 Breaking Me Down UK: 110 Ireland: 98

Maria Lawson finished in eighth place in the second UK series of X Factor. Lawson orginally auditioned for the first series of The X Factor, but she was rejected by judge Simon Cowell after reaching the Bootcamp round. Once she came face to face with the judges at her audition for the second series, Cowell immediately remembered her from the previous series and told her he had made a mistake in not putting her through to the live shows. After successful performances at Bootcamp and at the Osbourne household in Los Angeles, Lawson was given a chance to sing in the live stages of the show as part of Osbourne's final four.

In the fifth round of the live shows, Lawson gave a performance of "Brown Sugar". The song was widely regarded unsuitable and Lawson was eliminated from the competition. Her mentor, Sharon Osbourne, claimed that she was a victim of the "Irish Mafia", referring to Irish judge Louis Walsh's decision to vote in favour of Irish act The Conway Sisters at Lawson's expense. This caused a media uproar and Walsh threatened to quit the show after days of negative press. Lawson's elimination was also a shock for bookmakers who had her as a 66/1 outsider to leave the programme.

In March 2006 Lawson announced that she had signed to the Phonogenic branch of the Sony BMG record label. Her debut single, Sleepwalking and her self-titled debut album were released in August later that year. Lawson also went on to sign a lingerie deal with Bravissimo to become the new face and body for the lingerie and clothing line.

In April 2009 it was announced on Lawson's Myspace page that she would be performing the female lead role in the West End production of Thriller - Live at The Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, London. The show features the hit songs of Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5.

Maria was awesome. I loved her, particularly her debut single 'Sleepwalking' (which I have on CD single ) I also love her video to it!

APPRECIATE

Same Difference were amusing and likeable, but number 12 above JLS is a joke  the only reason they got to the final that year was because that year was a poor year for talent

Lucie was a very good singer- but just lacked something that made her unique, hence why she isn't a recording artist- didnt deserve to go over Jedward based on singing, but I kind of understand why she did

I didnt watch Maria's series- but that exit was probably the most controversial ever

I completely forgot to vote for Lucie, I actually liked her better than Maria, yet I voted for her.. awww well!

Hope Laura White is top 5!

Wasnt much of a fan of Lucie to begin with to be honest, well for the first two weeks or so anyway. She finally grew on me, but then the inevitable happened. Clearly I am the kiss of death since leading up to that she was one of the favourites to win if I remember...

Loved Maria, definatly my favourite of that series. She did quite a nice version of 'You're Beautiful' I think, a song I suaully hate beyond belief.

So funny a flop artist is top 10 in this list. -_-

Olly auditioned for the 6th series of X Factor where he finished in 2nd place after losing out to Joe McElderry. After the show, he signed a joint deal with Syco Music and Epic Records and has since then released a debut album and two singles. He will embark on an UK tour in April 2011.

Olly was great in the show. Never got the hate he received. Glad he's come top 10 though. If it was based on material I would have put him higher, as his album is seriously good.

Miss Frank are a three-piece girl group - Graziella, Shar and Shaniece. They formed at bootcamp after being offered the chance to enter the competition as a group after being rejected as solo artists. They were eliminated in Week 3 after being in the bottom 2 alongside Danyl Johnson, however they promised to stay together. On GMTV they announced they were working in the Sony BMG studio with artists such as Remi Nicole, attempting to find their sound.

On July 27, 2010, it was revealed that Shaniece had left the band, replaced by one of the 2008 boot camp contestants Cherelle. Due to this sudden activity, the three are now trying to come up with a new band name, asking visitors to the HeatWorld website to help them.

Miss Frank  Probably the only girlgroup who were actually any good, seriously loved them and should've done much better - to think they were kicked over the vile Danyl :/.
Miss Frank, should have won last year!
Miss Frank were horrifically overrated. They were good, yes. But the show really didn't show their full potential. Top 10 worthy? No way...

Chart History:

2009 You Should Have Known UK: 32

Laura auditioned for the 5th series of X Factor in 2008, however was eliminated in the 5th week of the live shows after finding herself in the Bottom 2 sing off against Ruth Lorenzo. In August 2009, she posted 4 tracks online and asked the fans to choose which song would be her debut single and the winning track was "You should have known". She was also due to release a song called "Radio", which she also performed whilst supporting Peter Andre on tour, but then told fans that it had been scrapped as she was not passionate enough about the song. Laura White's album release date is unknown but it will be in 2011. She has stated recently she had been in the studio recording for the album working with the likes on Ben Cullum and Cherri v.

:( Laura should have been top 5! Shame she's only released one (Brilliant) single that didn't do well, she keeps tweeting that she's still recording but I don't ever see her cracking the charts, she has such an amazing voice aswel, not fair! she's my 2nd best after Leona.
Quite possibly, the most overrated contestant to appear on X Factor, EVER! Well her and Danyl anyway, but the more Danyl was in the competition the more hate he got so...

Couldn't Agree more, Miss Frank that High?

I can See Ruth Being top 5 100% :)
