5. Not Me, Not I – 9.35 – biggest fans – gooddelta, The Controller, Flatcap, Silas and Neil

Nobody's favourite, but given a 10 by 50% of the voters, the gorgeous Not Me, Not I kicks off the top five. The beautiful piano ballad was the fourth single from the Innocent Eyes album, released in the UK in November 2003, where it became her 4th top 20 hit, and slightly earlier in Australia where it was her 4th No.1!!! Written by Delta along with American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi and Take That star Gary Barlow, it's easy to see why it's such a great song with those credentials. I'm pleased it wasn't forgotten about and managed to come top five here :D

4. In This Life – 9.4 – biggest fans – The Viper and Parker

The first single from Delta, and indeed Delta's first release in well over 2 years, it's fair to say that this was highly anticipated!!! It didn't disappoint - it was a natural evolution of the classic Delta sound, a bit punchier than usual and introduced the new 'sexy Delta'. Using her famous 'love and light' signature as the basis of the lyrics, the song went to #1 in Australia but criminally saw no UK or European release. This was very much a song you felt could have done well, particularly in territories such as Germany and Scandinavia.

No.1 is a three way tie!!!

=1. Believe Again – 9.8 – biggest fans – gooddelta, Ghosthunter and Silas

The second single from the Delta album, and the opening track, it's fair to say that this is a musical masterpiece. The first time I heard it, I was absolutely blown away, stopped in my tracks - I couldn't believe that she'd once again stepped up a gear with her quality. Definitely my favourite song of the noughties, I'm so glad that it's (jointly) won this! The high budget video was just a little bit special too, and the whole thing reeked of high budget short Hollywood movie. Sadly, it only made #2 in Australia, but at least it wasn't a flop!!! And this is maybe her best example of a song that would have done well across Europe had she released it here instead of still trying to push ancient material onto the uninterested US audience. Hopefully she'll be back here with her fourth album and tack this on as a bonus track, it's far too good to be generally unknown.

=1. Lost Without You 9.8 – biggest fans – Liam Gleek. and Silver Rocket

Her second single, second #1 in Australia and second top five hit in the UK, this really laid the foundations for Delta, preventing her from being a one-hit soap opera wonder and playing a huge part in sending the album to No.2 in the UK on release, just behind Beyonce's debut. A guitar led mid-tempo, incredibly different to Born To Try, it showed a different side to Delta and remains a solid fan favourite. It should have been another UK top 3 for her but was edged out by The Fast Food Rockers at the last minute :/ This was easily her most played song in the UK and received a lot of airplay on commercial radio for years after its release. Quite why they felt the need to put In My Own Time as both the b-side to Born To Try and this single though, I have no idea!

=1. Innocent Eyes – 9.8 – biggest fan – Flatcap

The third single taken from the album of the same name, it was yet another No.1 in Australia, and gave her a third top ten hit in the UK in September 2003. A much more fast paced single, it was like a young Tori Amos. Some really interesting lyrics and a frantic refrain produced my defining song of 2003, and still one of my top ten favourite songs of all time. For somebody portrayed as 'bland' or referred to as 'Dullta' in the media sometimes, this song really went against the grain of that opinion. She basically couldn't have opened with three more different sounding singles!!!

Well done to all three, if we're going to be picky you could say that Believe Again won as it got more 11's than any other song, but they're all deserved winners as they all got exactly the same average :D Hope you enjoyed the countdown!

I am going to be picky and declare Believe Again as the winner :kink:

The top5 is brilliant.

I would have done too, if we were going by 'most top marks' but I figured that this wasn't BJSC so I'd let them tie :heehee: Believe Again is easily the best thing anyone has she's ever done.

The second Gif in your sig, where is it from? Coz that's the Bones set :o

I made it myself, it's part of the new Saturdays video  How strange that they should film it there!

I loved this countdown, it reminded me how many great songs she has. I do think it's a major shame we didn't get anything from the third album era here, even though the majority of the album itself was dirge.

True. The first third of the album suggested something very special indeed, but it soon descended into filler territory :( Possessionless is the only song not mentioned in this countdown that I loved from that album. That said, Brave Face has grown on me substantially over the years! Everything else I'm not overly bothered about...

Wow i'll check it out. That set has been a key part of Bones since season 2 and judging by the Season 6 promos it's still gonna be heavily used :funky:

It really looks like the Bones set indeed! <3

And no cars are even moving in the Saturday's version. So much of fail copycatness. -_-

Indeed. The Malena one is funny because she and her entourage are being a clear nuisance to the traffic, whereas the car drivers in the Sats one are completely unfaced, and probably won't move off again once the Sats get to the other side - unrealistic :(

It actually is the Bones set. I recognised the tree Cam hid behind in S5 when she was spying on Michelle, and the fact that the Royal Dinner is in like every episode from 201 right through to Season 6 :heehee:

'Brave Face' was the only album track I properly liked, to be honest. I really wanted it to be released as a single.

Yeah, Royal Diner gives it away! :heehee: Although the road looks very unreal in this Saturdays video somehow. It's so small. And i have the feeling that building will just fall down when the wind blows a bit harder

Oh Bones, starting soooooooooo soon <3

I rewatched the opening of 503 and it's very definitely the Bones set

I know i can't wait!!!!!!

BTT and MI are two of my fave Delta singles, I'd deffo put them top 5 over NMNI and ITL :o
I think Lost Without You is a tad overated, Innocent Eyes on the otherhand is epic!
