Shows how monumental the show is, Replacing the Brooklyn Bridge with the X is quite a good move :) Wonder where they will keep the 'X' popping up in different locations the in the run up to the launch. But what with Simon (and maybe Cheryl) being in the US for the whole last semester?

Simon Cowell has allegedly secured a £500,000 deal for Cheryl Cole to be a judge of the US version of The X Factor. Despite Chezza being relatively unknown Stateside, SiCo is said to have gone up against Fox executives to land the job for the 27-year old beauty - after bosses had expressed their concerns over whether Cole would be a hit in America. The Girls Aloud singer, who is currently in Los Angeles reportedly seeing a LA vocal coach to "dilute" her Geordie accent, is also going to move to Hollywood after bagging the job. A source told The Mirror: "These are very exciting times ahead for Cheryl and her trip to LA this week will start setting a lot of balls in motion." "She has a very busy schedule with lots of meetings planned.It's fair to say that the charm offensive starts now and she's determined to make the most of the amazing opportunity given to her." They added: "Clearly, she hopes to see a lot of Derek (Hough) too but her priority is very much work and he understands that." Former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne has also hinted that Cheryl has landed a job on the American panel, telling The Mirror that the Parachute singer and Simon Cowell are the "only two confirmed" as judges on the US show. Osbourne confessed: "Cheryl and Simon Cowell are the only two confirmed for the US X Factor so far. February 27, 201114 yr And now we're back to the, she's missed out on the job stories. Seriously my head is spinning. She's now been offered the chance to be Simon's Sinitta there apparently. Roll on 1st auditions so we caend this constant changing rumour mill!
February 27, 201114 yr I am not going to read any of the stories anymore. I will just wait for an official conformation. I don't see why Cheryl would go to the trouble of buying a house in LA and planning to live there if she knew PERSONALLY that she wouldn't be getting the role.
