Bloody hell, I checked the pop bars this morning and saw first that Labrinth was at #24 and hoped Tine was ahead of that. Scroll down alphabetically, and NUMBER TWO. That has to be the biggest Sunday start of the year?

Tinie Tempah is awful, another dull rapper using a decent singer. People only know the chorus im sure nobody could recite what TT is actually rapping.

Probably true Gazo, i'm sure some people can but majority of people remember the chorus of these type of songs (love the way you lie, Written in the Stars etc) best bit is the chorus and thats the biggest selling point of the song!

I like tinie though. :) One of the few rappers i actually like.

Tinie Tempah is not a rap artist for the millionth time.He is a Grime artist and he has actually produced a really catchy hit worthy song.Did we not have the same debate last week.The song is dong well because of Tinie and his input it would equally have done well without the singer.Always good to see Alex and Shontelle holding up well.

It's a bit hard to make a rap/grime/hip hop song where the chorus ISN'T the main selling point...

 

For me, after I've heard a song enough times I actually generally find the verses stick in my head more. Hasn't yet happened with WITS but I'm sure it will fairly soon.

Sorry, but I have to beg to differ. Em's verses are unbelievable in that song, it's what made it such a modern day classic. Sure, the chorus was part of that and it launched Dido's career but it wasn't the MSP of the song.

The chorus does the job in 'Love the Way You Lie' indeed, I think in majority of people (me included) the chorus is playing in the head, not the verses.

I'm not denying that Eminem's verses are amazing, but I can guarantee you if you asked someone at random to sing part of Stan they'd 99% certain sing the chorus.

 

Also, I only just realised now that the reason people call obsessive fans 'stans' is because of the song Stan. :lol:
