Really surprised about adele to be honest!

Was an amazing performance by that man who wore the same clothes for bootcamp as the ones he wore to his audition ;)

Not surprised by Adele but all credit to Gamu she gave a beautiful rendition on the show it was the best performance so far.

I hope it is not true what the blogs are saying and that Cheryl shafts her at Judges houses.

The song's from 1997, so it's hardly an early classic of Dylan. It's a good song, but I very much prefer Dylan's version over Adele's.

 

I realised I'd put early instead of recent after I'd gone to bed, it was actually Garth's (Brooks) version I meant to post from the film Hope Floats as well, I was very tired. :lol: As long as we don't have a Westlife cover dominating X-Factor again I really don't care.

The release date is a month away - why would they promote now?

 

I expect them to be back on the radio/TV shows from mid-October onwards for Higher, not any earlier as it doesn't make sense.

It will no doubt be around 30ish towords over the next 4 weeks and it's quite hard to get higher when you have been stalling around.

I can't see it stalling around 30ish for the next 4 weeks - it's already debuted higher (#23) and even if it remains fairly static this week, or drops (depending on what happens with video/radio play), with Higher not being top 50/40 on radio/video play last week, it has massive scope for growth, and once these both start taking off, then the song should too.

 

Being around #20 on iTunes with next to no radio/TV airplay is fantastic and a great base to start from.

 

This song will easily go top 10 on iTunes and probably spend 3/4 weeks there depending on the competition around it when it enters the top 10.
