Calm down guys. Rather surprising upcoming storyline (in some respects):

 

 

EastEnders bosses are planning a controversial gay surrogacy storyline. Albert Square couple Christian Clarke and Syed Masood will ask mum-of-three Glenda Mitchell (Glynis Barber) to help them become fathers by having their baby. It will be the first ever "gay dad" plot on a British soap.

 

 

 

I expected that but I thought it would involve Roxy rather than Glenda! Should be interesting.

I can only guess

because Glenda's such an APPALLING mother, they'd know she'd be the one person who would have no interest whatsoever in keeping her child. She'd simply look at it as another excuse to get a leg-over! I imagine she'll try and demand she actually gets to sleep with Christian or Syed.

There was going to be a two-hander between Carol and Bianca apparently, but Patsy Palmer going into labour early meant they never finished shooting it and had to rewrite the storyline. Shame!

Apparently the ratings for New Year's Day were nearly 9million.

Disappointing! Isn't that their usual ratings audience? :unsure: (I have no idea about ratings other than Glee :lol:)

It's not disappointing - it was a Saturday and it was on at an unusual time, and on a night when there wasn't much else of note on TV. A lot of the audience would've been out partying or unaware it was even on.

People wouldn't have been partying NY day, recovering more like!

I was hoping he was coming back. They way they wrote him out wasn't good. Plus it completes the family.

I really don't see why

of all the possible returnees they need him. He was a hopeless actor and a spineless character. And it's not like Alfie's without family now he's fully integrated with the Slaters.
