They're currently in the process of casting an actor to play Fatboy's father, Ashley Chubb. I have to say I'm quite excited about this.

Haha, that's exactly what I thought. :D I found it a bit weird how literally as soon as all the baby drama storyline came up, no mention of Janine (nor Ryan, for that matter) was made... Anyway, it's great to have her back on the square along with Tanya too! :D

I'm just upset that Carol and Glenda no longer live together.

I loved that scene with the peas. It was funny, dramatic and sad. Lindsey is such an underated actress. But the soap awards are horrible decided all by how fit the males are and their favourite characters. It's never really down to the acting. Apart from the deserved awards gone to Lacey.

 

I forgot how great Carol and Glenda were until carol said "we had laugh though". Poor carol. She's gone from max's house, to bianca's, to glendas and now bianca's in just the year she has returned.

 

Eager to see where they are gonna take Carol next. She really is my favourite character.

Seriously happy about the NTA wins. Ricky is a really promising newcomer who has actually eased very gently into the role and transformed over time without losing the spark that made him so much fun in the first place. Lacey of course put in some of her best performances over Christmas and even managed to make me forget/forgive the horror that was the Ryan affair, so massive kudos to her and it's so good to see her go out on a high; and EastEnders was, as ever, the best soap bar none in 2010, despite Emmerdale being strong as well (although without the highs) and Corrie having a great 50th celebration.

 

But the one I really want EE to bag is Best Soap at the British Soap Awards in May so finger's crossed.

I don't see Ricky Norwood as a promising actor. I wouldn't say he even acts while doing Fatboy. Talking and dressing like a chav requires no effort at all. Any ameteur teenage or 20 something actor can pull that off. But the character is brilliant without a doubt. Respect your opinion though.

Phil is just so DELIGHTFULLY horrible! Steve McFadden always looks like he's having a ball playing such a ridiculous baddie. Loved Ian falling for his little begging game tonight.

Glynis Barber, who plays Glenda, was really bad last night with Phil's heart attack imo :lol: Loving all the Phil/Glenda twists, I also thought it ended over a week ago :o

Yeah, awful acting from Glenda over the past few weeks.

 

Loved the scenes with Jane and Shirley pretending to be a couple. Slightly Comedic and not cringey.

 

Janine is obviously set to screw Whitney over. She is clearly the one who gets her into prostitution. Janine being one herself back in the day.

Shirley and Phil's wedding is on April 29th. It's been timed to coincide with the day of the Royal Wedding LOL.

Im sure it will be a different wedding as shirley is not a roses and choclate girl, i hope they keep phil and shirley together as they are so so well suite dto each other where as shirley and kevin was so the opposite.

Phil was amazing tonight. Again. How fantastically foolish of Ian to really believe the fued might've been over. I loved Phil's manic, pantomime villain laughter.

 

It was a great episode generally though with a bumper amount of community spirit. It felt like half the cast had a role somewhere or other.

There is an episode of EE on Wednesday this week instead of Friday due to Rugby.

I haven't actually watched EastEnders for about 2 weeks but I've got it all on Sky+ so will sit and watch it all during the weekend.

 

I must say I'm really not sure if I'm liking the Whitney storyline or not, and I think it's because the actress who plays Whitney just doesn't seem like a strong actress. Especially when acting alongside Queen Charlie Brooks.?

Even charlie brooks isn't a great actress but has fully made Janine that character so i couldn't imagine anyone else doing the part.
