September 29, 201014 yr Apparently,Take That's new album is called "Progress" out on November, 22. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...l-Progress.html Its one crappy title isn't it? We've been having a bit of a laugh about it on the TT site. Kath I think they had in mind the 1970's British Sex Comedy 'Percy's Progress' ... about a willy transplant (Percy being the name of the willy). Maybe they're saying something about having another willy in the band ... only he isn't called Percy. Edited September 29, 201014 yr by Kathyp
September 29, 201014 yr Progress? How unimaginative :( I guess it won't be themed like the last one sort of was. Not that that's a bad thing, I just want some KILLER tunes on it, of the Patience/Shine/Rule The World ilk. Greatest Day, Up All Night and Said It All were a bit of a step down in quality to put it mildly.
September 29, 201014 yr What matters is will the music be any good. Take That have a better chance of releasing something good but it's not certainly - especially with Robbie. Of all the singles released from TT in the last few years I can only tolerate Rule the World and Patience. Edited September 29, 201014 yr by tonyttt31

Greatest Day, Up All Night and Said It All were a bit of a step down in quality to put it mildly. I loved Up All Night! That and Hold Up A Light are by far the best two songs on The Circus - for me anyway. I just hope that Mark Owen has as big an input on the songs and they don't leave it all to the dreary, ballady stuff that Robbie Barlow seem to come up with. Kath
September 29, 201014 yr Easily Take That and i honestly think there is no contest at all in the regard of who will get number 1 and sell more. On saying that JLS will still sell very well, i think JLS will sell around 170,000 and Take That around 291,000.
September 29, 201014 yr Take That of course. They have a much bigger fanbase and wider appeal than JLS. I actually think JLS will underperform with their second album.
September 30, 201014 yr Progress eh? STUPID title  If it is good enough I may consider buying. I loved 'Beautiful World' but hated the 'Circus'. I think I will do a hack-search all around to see what I can find about it but it is propably too soon. I quess we won't hear anything about 'Progress' or 'the flood' until all promo for 'Shame' is over. Then all 5 will spread to flood TV and radio.

October 1, 201014 yr Their singles are being released on the same day too I'm positive that Take That will get to Number 1 with albums, but it will be interesting to see who gets there with the singles. & Both are performing on X Factor.. but would they really have two groups on the same week ? I'm guessing Take That will perform when the album is released and JLS will when their single is
October 1, 201014 yr Well JLS' single is for Children in Need... perhaps that isn't a guarantee of #1 (McFly's CIN single was their first single to miss the top 10 for example) but I have a feeling the charity edge will allow it to just pip TT to #1. TT's album will definitely be #1 though.
October 1, 201014 yr I think JLS will beat them in the singles, LYM is for Children In Need so that will help add that with an inevitable XF performance and a big fanbase, plus its a decent song this time- I know Mcfly and Spice Girls flopped with theirs but they received little promotion, Im sure JLS will get a bit more on the albums though, Take That will still win, Im sure of it
October 1, 201014 yr on the albums though, Take That will still win, Im sure of it It is possible though, although Take That will beat JLS ... they could only be beating them to the number 2 position, as it could be damned hard for anyone to shift Susan Boyle from number 1. Take That could end up with number twos all round! Kath
October 1, 201014 yr Susan will be a threat but the circus wasnt far behind in opening sales regards susan. Also there wont be as much hype around susans 2nd album either. Im still confident take that will get number 1 with very decent sales.

Kath I cant see Susan Boyle being as big this year as last year, its another album of covers- Im sure it will still sell, but surely the public wont fall for the same thing twice? this could be just wishful thinking :( Edited October 1, 201014 yr by chart wizard
October 1, 201014 yr Susan will not even sell half of what she did last year. There is no interest in her anymore and she has no musical talent, we all know it was just the power of hype and reality TV. Another xmas album after only a year of a successful one is a stupid decision anyway. I am almost sure this abomination will be her last. She will still have healthy sales, I don't expect her to flop but there is no way she could ever beat TT. I say the reinforced TT would even beat her 'Dreamed a Dream' first week easily. I would love to see her totally flop but this is only wishful thinking. EDIT: I just noticed the Gift is out a week before TT and JLS. Hopefully she will be knocked down from no1 :puke2: and will never return higher than no3. There will be a lot of heavy releases to occupy no2 the following weeks (or no1 if they can actually knock down TT)
October 1, 201014 yr Yes, Susan Boyle's album will still sell well but it won't get near the sales of IDAD. Her second album probably won't even get 1 million sales in total and it'll likely début at #3. Take That's album what with the Robbie reunion hype and the fact their last 2 albums sold so well on week 1 plus the time of year it's released could even pip Oasis' Be Here Now's record first week sales :o Probably not though, and even if it does Oasis will still have the distinction of doing it in just 3 days Edited October 1, 201014 yr by ~ braysephone ~

Just look at Robson and Jerome - both their albums sold over a million!
