November 4, 201212 yr Oh god how ridiculous, they finally get a good promo slot and nothing will come of it, unless they sing Settle Down and people download the sinlge!
November 4, 201212 yr This makes no sense what they are doing, its like they want the album to remain a flop.
November 4, 201212 yr Don't Speak will probably end up having the biggest boost :drama: Hope they can get Looking Hot top 40 though!
November 4, 201212 yr I have tried to like 'Looking Hot', but it doesn't go anywhere and the chorus is piss weak. The performance was a good enough effort though.
November 4, 201212 yr I really like looking hot, its not their best single ever or anything but its catchy, i hope it can go top 75 this week.
November 5, 201212 yr I've noticed that most of the people who don't "get" why the video was taken down are all white ~ just an observation tho I don't see the need to take the album off iTunes
November 5, 201212 yr Author I've noticed that most of the people who don't "get" why the video was taken down are all white ~ just an observation tho I don't see the need to take the album off iTunes I *get* the criticism and understand why some people find it offensive. It’s a theme rooted in mass genocide (no band would dare dress up as sexy Jews and dance around a concentration camp) and based mainly on stereotypes of Native Americans. The lyrics probably didn’t help either. The western/cowboys/Indians theme has become so obvious that I can understand the appeal of making the video they did – it is gorgeous after all. Yes the video was ill-advised, but I think it is admirable how quickly they pulled it. Racist and culturally insensitive is clearly the last thing they are. You can tell Gwen just gets wrapped up in the fantasy of it all. Would I have taken it down? No. A "Viewer Discretion is Advised" message at the start would have been enough for me. Is that because I have the "privilege" of being a white male? Who knows. It’s still an art form and censorship is rarely the answer - regardless of who it offends.
November 5, 201212 yr It's a shame what's happened with the whole video resulting in the song being taken off iTunes because it has essentially made the X Factor slot a waste. But I guess the message here is be a bit more careful next time...and it is a shame because I love 'Looking Hot'. Guess I'll look forward to getting the album as a Christmas present now!
November 5, 201212 yr Just seen 'Push & Shove' is back on iTunes now...'Looking Hot' only #301 at the moment though :(
November 6, 201212 yr What a non-event this was in promotion terms its done nothing for them or their back catalogue!
November 7, 201212 yr Well dont speak is number 42 in the midweeks and the best of at number 60 so it has done at least a little for them
November 10, 201212 yr I feel like I have been waiting on this record since birth. http://www.rlgf.info/14.jpg http://www.rlgf.info/17.jpg Edited November 10, 201212 yr by greentom
December 10, 201212 yr They're already working on new music! That took long. It will take long to release it, trust me.
December 10, 201212 yr Author This time next year it will have already been releasd in some form, either a re-release or new album. Trust me. Look at the quick turnaround of Rock Steady. Gwen is probably plotting right this second and smashing dishes off of Gavin's head. She doesn't like being a flop.
December 10, 201212 yr Author Of course I could be wrong, but I'm hopeful for more Diplo and less MOR.
December 10, 201212 yr Gwen is probably plotting right this second and smashing dishes off of Gavin's head. She doesn't like being a flop. I would give literally ANYTHING to see/be a part of that.

December 11, 201212 yr Eveytime I walk past the exclusive boxset versions of 'Push & Shove' at work bulging off the shelf with a £15 price tag I keep hoping they will be reduced to £1 in the sale
