Wow, you need to get over the fact that people can have conflicting opinions. I think it's odd that you think she has no personality. DEAL.

Practice what you preach -_-

OH and, she even said herself tonight she doesn't have a "great personality".

No she didn't. When did she say 'I don't have a great personality'?

Anyway my current ranking probably goes something like this...

01 TreyC

02 Cher

03 Aiden

04 Katie

05 Matt

06 Paije

07 Mary

08 1 Direction

09 Rebecca

10 Belle Amie

11 Wagner

That's a seriously good top 7.

01 Rebecca

02 Cher

03 Aiden

04 TreyC

05 Paije

06 Matt

07 Mary

-

08 1 Direction

09 Wagner

10 Belle Amie

11 Katie (she's talented, but my GOD she's by far the most unlikeable contestant ever to come out of the X Factor)

I concur with Jark - there are definitely seven proper stand-outs this year. However, I can't really pick a favourite easily...

01. Matt

02. Aiden

03. Rebecca (I don't think she's come close to proving just HOW good she can be yet though)

04. Wagner - YES it's a bandwagon joke vote, but he's not as punchable as Jedward

05. Mary

06. TreyC

07. Katie

08. Paije

09. One Direction

10. Belle Amie

11. Cher Lloyd

I don't think I'm EVER going to be a Cher Lloyd fan I'm afraid. I just find something DEEPLY unpleasant about her; from that AWFUL snarl of hers, to her chavved up attitude, to her see-through attempts to style herself as Mini Cherly, to her claiming credit for writing and composing tracks that are already YEARS old. The rapping is passable but not exceptional, the singing dreadful. A second rate Alesha Dixon for 2010, just without any semblance of likability. Simon and Cherly proclaiming her to be the future of music does NOT help matters, because if they're right, we're all buggered.

I'm also REALLY not feeling the groups right now. Belle Amie's acting like c**ts at this early stage does NOT suggest they'll be setting the world alight anytime soon, espcially if they also insist on being so mediocre on stage. One Direction are another act I'm just destined NEVER to like being essentially Bieber x 5. Last night was particularly dreadful; they need to stop entrusting solo sections and ad libs to Ethnic One, who really is f***ing ATROCIOUS. All over the place and incapable of keeping in tune. He should stand there, look pretty, and THAT'S IT.

On a positive note, Paije and Katie are improving every week and could easily join the series leaders if they carry on like that. I never expected that Paije would be one of the highlights last night.

Yes, Paije pulled out the big guns last night in a way I don't think anybody expected, but then the song choice was pretty inspired and the arrangement was gorgeous. I think if I download anything from the three shows so far that will be it (along perhaps with Aiden's Mad World).

I don't agree about Rebecca sadly. She has absolutely zero personality - less than zero. Now it's a talent contest but that lack of personality translates into an equal lack of stage presence which makes her performances stone bore central. I find my eyes wandering from the TV and I don't with the others. She's got the voice but she's no star. I'd rather have Cher or Katie's attitude (which actually I quite like) than Rebecca's total lack of.

I've downloaded Paije's Killing Me Softly (say what you will, but I LOVED the arrangement), Rebecca's Why Don't You Do Right? (proper jazzy confection), and the ever sexual Diamonds Are Forever. WONDERFUL.

On the latter point, I'd say she's slowly coming out of her shell. Goodness knows she's no Cher when it comes to attitude but I'd say she's at a Leona level - obviously not the most exciting of people but the talent's good enough to make up for it.

Quite. Leona is proof that personality, whilst useful, isn't QUITE necessary.

It will be a hindrance performing live obviously, but Rebecca having no stage presence isn't going to stop her sounding pretty damn amazing on a record. Which is why I totally disagree with Jark's "personality over voice" comment. When it comes to buying records or listening on the radio, I know which one out of Rebecca and Cher I'm more likely to favour.

I didn't think anyone was particularly amazing this week tbh :(.

Yes, Rebecca just doesn't engage me at all.

Cher is not the best singer but She commands attention with her stage presence and attitude.

I look forward to seeing Cher's performance most as a result.
