One of the Irish newspapers has a story on the front page about how Mary has come down with a virus and is afraid she won't make the live finals.

I feel bad for her....however most of these sickie stories usually end up fine in the end, and said contestant has a handy story to fill their VT with about the terrible hardship they went through during the week...

I think the only time it's been otherwise has been with Diana Vickers...

Cooler Than Me was potentially epic, but she f***ed it up bad. Completely agree she's a one trick pony, surprisingly I kind of like Katie, although if Treyc comes back I'm totally over her  Matt Cardle is my fave by MILES, see avatar  I hated Nicolo a week ago, but he's really funny on Twitter, I'm rethinking things...
...then completely flopped, imo, in her second boot camp when she sang 'Viva La Vida'. Definitely a step backwards, and 'Cooler Than Me' didn't help matters either.

yeah even I can admit she has taken a huge step backwards and wont win

I just hope she has more to give- even though shes already peaked, like Danyl, he peaked at his audition, but still gave some pretty good performances

Did he? Yes, the first performance he did of 'And I'm Telling You' was good but he went downhill the following night when he ballsed up his one line in 'I Gotta Feeling' proving he couldn't sing in a low register. 'I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing' proved that. Then he became every cliche of the "money note" where he would just sing money notes for 3 minutes. Epic fail. :manson:

like I said- Some- Purple Rain, Man In The Mirror, And Im Telling You were all pretty good, even if most of the others pretty much sucked

Totally off topic ... but my sister saw someone in Liverpool on Monday that she knew she recognised (this person was being followed around by a small camera crew.) When she got a moment ... she realised who it was ... went up to her and said 'Why didn't you win X-Factor last year' ... it was Stacey Soloman. She was doing some short interviews on people's views of this year's X-F (must be for some obscure channel or something). Anyway ... she was absolutely gorgeous! Stacey ... not sis! Although sis is lovely too!

but were done much much much better the series before by infinitely superior contestants ;)

i just moved from liverpool  i want to meet stacey solomon!!!

I did a bit of research and it turns out that in five of the last six X Factors, the act performing first on the first live show has ended up in the bottom two. So in the last six contests only one act has avoided the bottom two when performing first in the first week.

Something to watch out for....

And I bet the one who performs 12th is never in the bottom 2

Wish there was the same uproar about John that there is about Gamu.

This talent gone to waste -

I just watched John Wilding's audition again. I didn't realise he was the guy that sang Run

I remember on twitter a few days ago.. Quite a few people said they wanted Paige through and Marlon tweeted about John and how we would have liked him a lot more if he had been given more airtime.. & Something about him having a stronger voice

I'm surprised there's nothing out about song choices yet!

Matt Cardle will be singing When Loves Takes Over by David Guetta. Great choice for him.

Edited by Balsamic

apparently next week its also a two and a half hour show- so that indicates that there will be 16 acts this weekend, and not 13

Cant see how they'll work that if true- it would go well into the new year

Theme is

Number Ones

Matt is singing

When Love Takes Over

EDIT - Katie & Mary were filthy lies :(

LOL at Mary! Wonder if she'll pull it off or whether it was just a diabolical choice from Louis just to try and plug one of his bands biggest hits...

Katie... OH DEAR!

Matt will do a slow/acoustic version of that I reckon.

EDIT: LMFAO James! I thought they were a bit odd for both contestants

Really? Boyzone would fit Mary perfectly

Maybe one of their ballad sorta songs. Not 'When The Going Gets Tough' LOL.
