I've still not heard Joe's song yet (I only watched the last 10 minutes of X Factor today), but I've been hearing Duck Sauce for about a month on the radio now.

I don't think Joe will get to #1. He should be alright till #2 (#3 with Cee Lo being combined) but there's a lot of a bigger gap after that. Still #2/3 is decent... but if the single can't get #1 then the album certainly won't either.

'Firework' is not out until 15th Nov, how positive are we it's the song she's performing?

It won't stop digital downloads from album cherry picking. 15th Nov, physical release?

 

Maybe She'll do 'Firework' and 'Teenage Dream' like Usher did.

Or even go all out and do the 3 singles.

If Joe does get to no. 1 I'm convinced 'Ambitions' will tail off in the same way 'Dirtee Disco' and 'Beautiful Monster' did. The song really isn't that brilliant (I don't even think highly of the Donkeyboy original to be honest). It's not bad but certainly not worthy, imo, of being no. 1 for one week before plummeting like a lead balloon.

 

I'd much rather see Cee Lo Green no. 1 for a second week (what? two weeks at no. 1, you gotta be kiddin' :( ) or Duck Sauce if there HAS to be a brand new no. 1 single yet again. At least I can see 'Barbra Streisand' sticking around much longer than 'Ambitions'.

Its not great for Joe sadly he should have gone Top 10 without the performance tonight but he was not given a strong enough song.Not sure why the B-side was not the lead single and his performance tonight kind of showed his limitations but still hope he can hang onto Top 5.

I'm convinced Cee Lo Green will get a second week, with Duck Sauce at #2, while Joe brings up the rear. After his performance on the X Factor, I would have thought he crash it. Not every performance on the X Factor is guaranteed a #1.

Norway thought highly enough of the original for it to be #1 for 12 weeks there! It's a great pop song - very different but anthemic in my opinion, and Joe's version is decent. The original is better though.

It is a good song but why did they feel the need to camp it up for Joe's recording? In the process they've sucked any soul out of it. I think it would be doing better if they kept it closer to the original to be honest. It would have appealed more to the people who voted for him certainly. Syco just seems to be incapable of handling its male X Factor winners right, unfortunately.

 

Cee Lo could well be #1 again this week, yes. Remember he's ahead of Bruno Mars combined. It'd be great if he could on for 3(!) - he certainly has the mass appeal to do it - but The Wanted and Diana Vickers will be a big test, particularly the former. I think he can do it though.

Next Week will be a crazy battle for number one, I think the Wanted will be number one again though!

I really cant see Diana getting anywhere near #1. Nobody I know has even heard of the song yet and I havent heard it on the radio or seen it on the TV once. For many the first time they will hear the song will be on X Factor and I dont think many people will like it as it really sounds awful on first listen (its still pretty bad for me but I know for a lot of people it has grew and it has slightly on me too). I reckon it will just about scrape the top 10, without XF I think it would struggle to even get top 40 tbh :lol:

I think Diana going top 5 is more realistic than number 1, il be happy once it makes the top 10 and any higher will be a bonus, if the single does well it should help boost a few album sales aswell.
