wow posner rising to top 3, wonder how he'll get on against all the marketed releases in the next few weeks - could he become a number 1 selling single??

 

his chart rise is the perfect example of why songs should be released immediately to itunes and allowed to rise to the top if they are popular enough - posner was 24 in last sundays chart will be 12 this week and top 5 next week.

 

'Number 1 selling single' is hardly a compliment these days :P

 

I don't think it'll get #1 but it's definitely a possibility, and it'll sell a lot... not a good thing. It's an awful awful song. Though I seem to be alone with that opinion.

I know that Pixie is at 12 but with the aucostic is she any higher? It would just make my day, no actually MY YEAR if pixie , who had barely any promotion, beat Joe, the x factor winner with an X fActor performance watched by over 10 million people:L

Looking ahead to next week, there are three songs that might make the top 10:

 

The Wanted 'Heart Vacancy'

N-Dubz 'Best Behaviour'

Taylor Swift 'Mine'

 

'Barbra Streisand' is also released physically so this could give the track another sales boost next week (albeit a small one probably :P ). If Cee Lo Green doesn't decrease in sales too much this week he could make it three weeks at no. 1 (which would be brilliant :D ). The Wanted 'All Time Low' sold 84k in its first week and I can't see 'Heart Vacancy' selling more than that. maybe 80k tops. Next week could be a close top 3 sales wise - espcially top 2.

That Mike Posner song is so average, completely bland.

I hope N-Dubz completely flop this time around, it's long overdue and they're so terrible.

Compeletely agree n-dubz are one of the worst things in music and the 3 most arogant people in the industry.

 

Mike Posner #3! :o :D :music: Hope he climbs to #1! Even top 5 is great!

 

Joe is on Paul O Grady tonight & shame is losing steam so it should be back in to top 10 by end of the night, but still not good to drop out of top 10 in its first week of release after an x factor appearance :o

My Wicked Heart, Heart Vacancy and 2012 will all go top 10 I think.

 

I hope Pixie and Jason get into the top 40, but I think they'll narrowly miss out, like Wonderman did. I think it'd be cool if they got their radio premiere on the chart show, or chart update, like Airplanes, Love the Way You Lie, Telephone, etc. did.

 

Also, Firework is basically going to be a new release next week because it'll probably be performed on X Factor, and it'll get 5+ plays on radio 1, which gets millions of listeners, and probably more plays on commercial radio. The song could be heard by over a quarter of the country's population in the next 10 days! :o

what on earth is this duck sauce!? :mellow:

Ooh, wasn't sure if 'My Wicked Heart' was getting released next week - seems obvious with the X Factor performance but hadn't read anything confirming this. It's miles better than 'The Boy Who Murdered Love' as 'MWH' sounds nothing like 'Once'. The circus style video is also quite good too.

 

Could Diana Vickers get another no. 1 single? :o I wouldn't have thought so myself but you can never tell.

and I really hope Diana goes top 10- I would love a number 1 but I cant see her getting past The Wanted, Cee-Lo, Duck Sauce or Mike Posner :(
