should i bother with would i lie to you...

here is the jist of it, its been a struggle some what to even get 3 members of each team to play for the first out of 3 weeks, i was getting the feeling people basically didnt give a $h!t, but the people who did end up playing seemed to all enjoy it.

so is it a waste of my time and effort or do people actually care?

Yeah I think you should bother. Just make big (like 100/150 points) deductions for every game without 3 members. :D It could wake some people up if they still care about their team.

Or still do your sex-for-play thing* :o

yeah but if people dont actually care or want to i dont want to force it.

Forcing or not forcing - there should be deductions anyway. It's a task, not a spin-off made for fun. So again yeah i think you should give it a go 'til the end. If teams aren't formed by the time of the game (or within some short time after the deadline) then the game gets cancelled and the team(s) who didn't get 3 members get(s) deductions. :o Unfair to the team that plays against the unprepared one but giving the former extra points would be equally unfair.

Just some thoughts.

Maybe Teams are quiet now because of the Uni start idk really...

For crying out loud Chrisfishlock, all you do in this forum is f***ing whine. I dont come in the lounge to read you "THE WORLD HATES CHRISFISHLOCK" propaganda.

(yes, carry on with it, our team is sorted for next week too)

what does this have to do if whether people hate me? :s i just dont like wasting my time mate.
I went for the last option. just coz it stood out to me more :P

You're overreacting a touch Chris. Everyone appreciates the work that you're putting into this, it's just one of those things. No-one can ever TRULY guarantee when they're going to be online, and sometimes real life does get in the way.

But in the end, you've still managed to carry the games out successfully, so what's the problem?

while i didnt really want to be involved in playing the game (i go to bed early during the week, i think i'm getting old :P ) i have enjoyed reading the threads, so i say yes, carry on with it :)
i would take part in one of them but since starting uni i never know what i'm gonna be doing until the day so it's hard to say when i'd be able to
What has university done to Tirren? I'm not claiming him.

MANY things, but I'm going to have to go back to respectable. I went out to Freshers' Fair in the morning and ended up being a candidate for running the whole Labour organisation at the uni by the evening!

This does not surprise me. Given your withdrawl from being an active Lounge mod, you were always going to have to find another outlet to go all NU DICTATOR on.

SHUSH. They need my iron fist - the organisation was a shambles summed up by in-fighting with just three active members at the desk until I was forced into taking over the stall today (really, I actually was forced - I didn't have the first idea on what I was supposed to do!). By the end of the day we had 90 new members (although I doubt m/any of those were directly to do with me!), and the guy in charge of East England Labour Students basically told me I should go for President of the group! Which is going to be quite the job, because I have to patch up things between the CLP and the Essex Labour Students if I become President AND take on the ridiculously overfunded Conservatives organisation here.

How on earth did you reach this conclusion on day one? Admit it, you've just marched into a fairly happy, moderately successful camp, announced you were taking charge and caused carnage! STEAMROLLER TIRREN

Oh MOOPYGRIN! It was a complete shambles in that the stall at the Freshers' Fair very nearly didn't even happen, as the previous President resigned over a power struggle between him and the local CLP over who would take responsibility for the promotion and doing the stall (the local CLP have been pissed at him ever since the election when he decided to use Essex Labour Students time to campaign in marginals in Ipswich rather than Colchester, which is pretty safe Lib Dem territory - at least safe against Labour). The head of East England Labour Students had to come down and set up the stall after both the President and the CLP pulled out of doing the stall, and he was on the verge of being shut down (as stalls have to be run by students to stop outside interests manipulating etc.) until I turned up and was thrust into it as the only possible person there!

So yes, I'm currently the only candidate, so far as I know (at least nobody else who was at the stall has said they want to run), so LET'S RELIVE
