October 30, 201014 yr LOL I love you guys! You over seriousness of everything give me some of my fave laughs! Keep It Up! xXx Yeah, I mean, why would anyone be serious in a Politics/News/Current Affairs Forum....? Dingbat.... -_-
October 30, 201014 yr Exactly, Labour really need to start hammering home this point. Cameron and Osborne said time and time again up until the end of 2008 that they would stick to Labour's spending plans - if they were so concerned about the level of debt building, why didn't they say so then? They also completely agreed with the banking bail-out, although they admittedly opposed Labour's subsequent efforts to stimulate the economy, so they can atleast say spending levels wouldn't have been *quite* as high over the last couple of years with some credibility. Clegg and Cable, on the other hand, regularly criticised Labour for not having a big enough stimulus during the recession, which is what makes so sickening Clegg's rhetoric now about Labour being "reckless spenders" - either he is so economically obtuse that he didn't realise that what Labour were doing was against his supposed principles at the time, or (like we all suspect), he's sold out his principles for the huge honour of getting a desk in Francis Maude's office. Spot on, they're just two faced hypocrites.. The Fib Dems are even worse though, you expect a level of two faced hypocrisy from the Tories, but the likes of Cable, Clegg and Co have gone way beyond mere hypocrisy.... And I will never, EVER buy the justification of "we didn't know how bad things were" for them doing their massive U-Turns... Rubbish, of course they knew how bad things were, every economics reporter in the country knew how bad things were, the likes of Robert Peston kept TELLING us, and them, how bad things were, all they had to do was read a newspaper or watch the TV....
October 30, 201014 yr But Labour are crap as well aren't they? Bit ambitious of you to try and form a fully formed sentence don't you think?
October 30, 201014 yr But they are crap aren't they? They bankrupted us didn't they? They had a great deal of help from the bankers.
October 30, 201014 yr They had a great deal of help from the bankers. Precisely. It's thanks to a Labour government that the crisis wasn't worse, once it hit Brown did a lot to cut our losses. Also, let's not forget that if they hadn't invested so much in education and health over the years, we'd have still had a crisis and would still have a deficit now but our public services would be so backward due to Conservative brutality that we'd be in no place to cope with whatever they throw at us now.
October 31, 201014 yr But they are crap aren't they? They bankrupted us didn't they? No, because we aren't bankrupt. In the middle of a recession Labour increased spending in order to help us out of recession - the larger the stimulus, the more likely it was a nation avoided recession. Take South Korea, China, and Australia for example. Labour increased spending, hence the recession was shorter and less painful than it would've been otherwise. That's why we have a deficit.
November 1, 201014 yr Well I prefer Conservative. I thought Labour was $h!te for 10 years so willing to give Conservative a chance. Not that I ever vote in the elections. They all seem $h!te
November 1, 201014 yr Where did they go right should be the answer hun. And they went right no where.

Do you really think that gay couples shouldn't have similar rights to straight couples?
November 1, 201014 yr Granted, not for everyone. Scrap that and add Northern Ireland to the list? Anything that hands power to the SNP is evil, satanic and the genius behind it should be shot. In the face.
November 2, 201014 yr I'm white but that didn't stop me campaigning against apartheid. Do you really think that gay couples shouldn't have similar rights to straight couples? I didnt say they shouldnt. I just dont care Edited November 2, 201014 yr by Shelli Louise Po
