Madonna and Vienna

I have just come back from Vienna and Girl Gone Wild was still being played in the gay bars and clubs.

Nothing off Madame X sadly.

    Oh I love this look!

It's been exactly 10 years since that Brit Awards performance!

Loved the homage to Madonna's 1990 MTV performance and how Michelle brought attention to what voguing is about and what it means to the community.

Michelle's my winner from this year's Strictly.

I loved this. I watched Strictly for like the second time ever and I said to Mr D* that Michelle's costume reminded me of Madonna but he had no idea what I was referring to... I actually let out a little yelp when her VT showed it was actually Vogue!!!! I know it was a bit more basic than most of the other dances but it was just perfect, her message that went along with it was so lovely also

I'm trying to get myself to enjoy the Erotica album more than I do so I've put together a playlist that isn't sounding as bad with some heavy cheating on eras

Erotica

Justify My Love

Fever (I'm bizarrely no longer minding this after hating it for decades)

Deeper and Deeper

Secret

Waiting

Thief of Hearts

Vogue

Rescue Me

Rain

Bad Girl

Words

I Don't Search I Find

Goodbye to Innocence

Love Hurts

Secret Garden

An interesting playlist, I think that could sound really good - I love that you put 'I Don't Search, I Find' in there!

I really like 'Fever' within the album, I just don't think it should have been a single. It did give us this great performance though:

Yeah I think it works as a collection! Having a few more hits on it definitely improves me love of the other tracks so far and it works as a home for a few other tracks that I like but would not usually listen to on their own.
Check out the Fever One Edit . It was released on the rain single in the UK, far superior to album version !
I’ve just listened to it, I’m not sure which I prefer but I do think the album version is better suited to the style/sound I was going for

I've just been revisiting some Madonna moments on YouTube and rewatched her Carpool Karaoke:

This was such fun and she came across really well. The promo for the Rebel Heart era was on point; it makes me sad that she didn't do that much for Madame X and that the promo she did do was badly received. I kinda wish I appreciated the Rebel Heart era even more than I did, knowing that it would be so limited the next time around.

In the Throw It Back episode, Diplo also chats about his friendship with Madonna, after being shown an image of them together in 2015.

“I love Madonna so much,” he shares. “I used to be a huge fan of Madonna…Basically she was my first idea of a pop star. So when I got to meet her and hang with her and work with her it was like a dream come true. And I've done I think four songs, six songs with her now. And we're friends, we speak a lot so, she's one of my heroes.”

Apple Music no longer recognising / storing ‘I’m going to tell you a secret’. I hope this is just a glitch cos I need the live versions of nobody knows me and lament !!!
It's the same on Spotify! :o I notice the continuous mix of Confessions is gone too. :( Is that the same on Apple, vibe?
I don’t think the continuous mix has ever been on Apple Music !

A link what shows Red One saying Madonna said yes to a collaboration with him which didn’t happen bc she changed her mind.

Guessing this was for MDNA era. I can see why she may have said no but surely anything he would’ve been involved in would’ve been better than what we got had it been for the MDNA era  I’m just guessing because of the release date being her first album to be released after Gaga really took off as Hard Candy was before and by the time we got Rebel Heart the controversy between them has simmered down.
