Treyc hardly bitched I think she was being frank that they did not give her a warm welcome.Even if Treyc had said nothing the press are determined to turn Katie and now Cher into the the two wicked Witches of X-factor.I dont rate Katie at all but she did sing for the first time tonight with no gimmicks no tears and let her voice do the work.Still dont like her.

The group performance was diabolical and a complete disgrace.Badly mimed, badly performed and showed what a poor selection most of them were.Wagner though was hilarious.

That's besides the point really. The point I was making was that normally the show's producers would NEVER have shown those comments; they're usually determined to paint a picture of one big happy family. That's changed this year, and I wasn't criticising Treyc, just making a point that there's a reason they chose to air her comments at all. They know it will add fuel to the already raging tabloid fire over Katie and Cher.

What's the theme for next week?
Wagner to win X Factor 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's the theme for next week?

Probably something completely irrelevant to what the winner will do. Rock? Big Band?

I heard it was going to be Madonna week. Which would be all sorts of tragic for some of them.
madonna week but diana vickers and katy perry are singing on the show :s? hahaha isnt it normally only a themed week for a person if there actually there like britney week when she came and sang and all the acts sang her songs??

Oh no, really not liking this year that much. Apart from Cher and Treyc I didn't really rate them. :(

01. Cher - can't stop watching this!

02. Treyc - was decent. everyone keeps saying she looks like Bev. naturally, I approve.

- - -

03. Matt - couldn't really go wrong with that song, great choice!

04. Aiden - a bit overrated, but was still a good performance.

05. Rebecca - this was not the song for her. it's a shame she's more at home on songs the public would find boring.

06. Mary - not nearly as great as the reaction she received, not bad. sadly reminded me of Ursula.

- - -

07. Belle Amie - I understood Cheryl (?) feeling nervous watching them. wasn't THAT bad, just didn't reach it's potential.

08. One Direction - yeah. nice.

09. Paije - wasn't as excruciatingly cringeworthy as I usually find him.

10. Katie - actually can't express how much I dislike this girl. really wanted to see her face if she left. not a BAD singer though.

11. FYD - disappointing, I kinda liked their auditions.

- - -

12. Nicolo - cringeworthy. didn't deserve to go though, he was capable of much better than this.

13. Storm - not awful, but I can't look past the red hair and rainbow face. smells of desperation.

14. Diva Fever - makes me sad to see guys play up to the stereotype so much. one of them can sing alright.

15. John - is the kind of guy 'exciting like a glass of water' etc. was made for.

- - -

16. Wagner - words escape me. Louis prefered this to Elesha? :s

(yes, I'm about 27 hours late with this :()

She's got a good voice, but it's really weak

Am I reading that correctly?

I dont understand the problem with Katie. There are lots of unlikable people in music who are talented. As someone said above, this isn't Big Brother, and for that matter, neither is it a dancing competition. She's better than the likes of Wagner - unless I am completely not getting him.

This used to be a singing competition and now people get to stay in because they are entertaining, goodlooking, fun, likeable, bonkers even.

Great performance from Joe, Ambitions is wayyyy better than any song Usher has ever done :)

LMAO. Love Buzzjack.

A little shocked at Nicolo tbh but the bottom two were no surprise, gutted Katie Weasel is still in but I guess on singing the right call was made..

I don't get how people just don't get that Katie seems to have been shown in a bad light (as an ex-film student ... the editing has been bloody brilliant for its evil purpose) from auditions right up to now. The only objection I had to her was that she already had a recording contract and X-F lawyers got her out of. She really shouldn't have been in the show ... but she is now so people should just get over it ... its now a level playing field. She seemed so very, very nervous on Saturday night ... that I don't believe that she was as 'professional' as she was made out to be ... she seemed a lot less confident than Rebecca (still my favourite) and a good few of the other acts.

I still don't think her vocals are great but I think she's not had the chance to 'loosen up' and relax and just sing ... constantly thinking she HAS to make people like her as well. Having said that ... no way was she the worst performer and I don't think she should have been in the bottom three. One of those places should have been reserved for Cher ... who has gone (in my estimation) from Hero to Zero gradually. She is the one-trick-pony that a lot of people said she was (and I apologise for disagreeing with those of you that said that on BJ to begin with.)

True but in a show like X Factor you have to be likeable as well as talented, and face it Katie is probably the most disliked one this year - she comes across as arrogant and pretentious. I predict she will be out in the next 2/3 weeks.

I don't know the ins and outs of the Kate controversy but I think she was far far better than FYD. Still Wagner to win!. His performance had everything a velvet jacket, booty and bongos.. Oh and did Usher actually sing during his performance, Joe's performance was better but Usher still has the best party song of all time. Yeah

Mary Byrne- It's A Man's Man's World -- Great James Brown track but unfortunately I have found anywhere it was #1

I don't get what people see in Matt - I don't find him that good.

I think they should let the acts play instruments like they do on American Idol.

Totally agree. I want to see Matt play his accoustic guitar

You need to check out his band Seven Summers album - you may just change your mind. His vocals are flippin fantastic.

Forget playing instruments when are the acts actually going to start to do any real singing. The show needs an acoustic week of nothing but pure vocals, it will clearly never happen.

X Factor goes Euro-trash in the weakest series yet

Week one of the Live shows and X Factor turned into Eurovision.

Italy's Nicolo, Ireland's Mary Byrne, Germany's Wagner (Bill Bailey), zany Euro-trash Diva Fever, girl group Belle Amie, boy bands F.Y.D. and 1 Direction... this is the weakest X Factor yet.

Overnight it became a procession of novelty acts: Katie in her Roman gladiator hat; Storm and his purple hair; MC Cher, the mini-Cheryl "rapper" from the mean streets of, um, Malvern.

An interminable parade of holiday camp charisma and weedy drivel, there were only a handful of performances you could actually say had serious pop star potential or talent: Matt, Rebecca, Treyc, and Aiden.

Ironically, the weaker the candidates, the harder they find it to evict anyone.

They've expanded the categories, created bands out of rejects, rewarded "characters" who fall apart and handed out wild cards.

Other irritants: Dermot O'Dreary's trans-adlannic accent; Grannii Minogue's hair; the judges talking to the acts as if they had styled themselves when it's pretty obvious: they're all puppets.

I agree with him (apart from lumping Mary in with Wagner, et al ... she was actually OK on Saturday)
