Just watched Chers performance as I missed it last night... honestly, some of you are completley overreacting. She was alright, it was hardly orgasm worthy, most of the singing was out of tune and the rapping is a complete one trick thing. She is not some godly sent thing. Seriously.

Just catching up on last nights show

FYD: LOL at "Smiling next to Simon and the Queen". Some of the vocals were pretty weak. They are obviously better dancers than singers too 5/10

Matt Cardle: I wish he would ditch the hat now. Good vocals, but the overall performance could have been a lot better 7/10

John Adeleye: Boring performance and predictable song choice. Louis gave JLS the same song in 2008, but at least then he had a good reason as it was "Mariah Carey" week. 5/10

Rebecca Ferguson: She's really grown as a performer. Strong vocals and good song choice 8/10

Storm Lee: Good performance, but theres just something about him I dislike. Although, I did like him in his first audition 6/10

Belle Amie: I love them and the song choice. I expected better vocals though and I don't quite know if the public will connect with them 5/10

Cher Lloyd: I think everyone will always have high expectations for Cher after her first audition. She really is a great performer, even if her vocals aren't up to scratch compared to some of the other contestants. It didn't help that the backing vocals drowned her out way too much. The beginning of that reminded me so much of Cheryl's Fight For This Love performance though :o 7/10

Diva Fever: They bring a fun factor to the show, although I wouldn't like them to last too long at the expense of some of the better acts. Was it just me or did only one of them sing ? 3/10

Paije Richardson: One of my favourite songs ever. I wasn't too keen on the idea of him coming back as I preferred Marlon, but he did well. Wasn't too keen on what he was wearing though 7/10

Katie Waissel: I like that she is different and she stands out a lot more than some of the other girls that were at Judges houses. Good vocals too, but I just can't seem to connect with her. She doesn't seem too likeable at the moment, but that could change over the weeks 6/10

Mary Byrne: Wow her make up kind of scared me LOL. I don't particularly like her, but she seems more likeable than Susan Boyle for example and that was a great performance. 8/10

Nicolo Festa: Completely wrong song choice. Didn't show off his vocals at all and made him seem like even more of a diva 5/10

One Direction: Just like to point out that my comments on them over the next few weeks may be slightly biased as I am in love with Zayn LOL. I'm glad Zayn and Niall got the chance to sing this week and weren't simply just backing singers, but Harry definately needs to sing more. He's probably got the strongest voice in the group. I can see them getting as far as the finals.. Possibly even 2nd like JLS. They already have a pretty big following. 7/10

Wagner: Seriously how did he even get this far? He doesn't even bring the fun factor. I just find him weird 3/10

Aiden Grimshaw: Best Performance of the night, although he did look slightly scary and reminds me of Joe McElderry way too much 9/10

TreyC Cohen: Glad she was chosen as a Wild Card. Probably one of the strongest voices in the competition and the 2nd best performance of the night for me 9/10

Judging by that Wagner and Diva Fever should be going home tonight, but I think it will be John Adeleye and FYD

Why are some acts getting more assistance from backing tracks and backing vocals. You could barely hear some of the singing last night.I think last year was better for actual vocalists but agree with your scores Sabrina. Aiden and Treyc were head and shoulders above the rest and brough power, range and class to their performances.Hated both outfits though.

My Ranking based on performances -

1. TreyC - Brilliant vocals, great song choice!

2. Aiden - got something really unique and did really well

3. Mary - sang brilliantly, especially considering she was ill

4. Paije - He did really well with this song, sounded brilliant, although the image was weird

5. Rebecca - my fave to win, but she had a few tuning issues. still brilliant though

6. One Direction - they sang really well, good song choice and they stand a good chance of winning

7. Diva Fever - I think they actually have really good voices and they were very entertaining

8. Cher - Normally my 2nd fave, but wasn't that impressed, still good though.

9. Storm - Vocals good, performance good, Think he will grow aswel

10. Nicolo - Alot better than I expected, still not amazing or anything.

11. Matt - wrong song choice, but he still has a great voice!

12. Wagner - voice not so great but hilarious and entertaining

13. Katie - not quite as bad as I thought, but still pretty crap

14. FYD - Boring, better dancers than singers

15. John - Yawn, I forgot he had performed when got to the end

16. Bell Amie - I'm normally a sucker for girlbands but that was truly awful.

I think Bell Amie will be goners, bad performance and girls never do well anyway, as for the 2nd person, either John or Wagner.

RIGHT, as I was too busy making catty comments about the acts last night, I'm going to rewatch the performances and judge them slightly more fairly...
I bought Treyc's performance. I was going to buy Aiden aswell, but then I saw Jonjo had kindly uploaded it to SIN. :kink: I'm surprised nobody's mass-bought and uploaded them there! :o
Judging by that Wagner and Diva Fever should be going home tonight, but I think it will be John Adeleye and FYD

Yeah I can't see them going, because both acts made an impact! I thought they were entertaining and should stay a bit longer (Diva Fever longer than Wagner). Sure John and FYD can sing but they bored me to tears. I can't even remember what song John sang.

An act can be a great serious singer but have the entertainment value of a turnip.

Great show, but I was a bit dissapointed in Bell Amie, was expecting a lot more. Also  @ USHER being the other guest :( Was really hoping Pixie got a slot, I thought she would, seeing as she was a guest judge. Aidan, Mary, Cher, Matt, Treyc and Rebecca were the best, Nicolo was awful and John was
Aiden and Mary were the highlights for me. I fear that neither will be able to maintain the standards that they have set for thsemselves.

F.Y.D. - Billionaire : It was alright on the verses, but seriously, the harmonies on the chorus were just DREADFUL. Not the worst of the night, but definitely cannon fodder in the next couple of weeks / 4/10

ASSOCIATED CATTY COMMENTS:

'These excuses for harmonies make me want to shoot disabled puppies'

''Relevant in the charts today' = biggest backhanded compliment of 2010.'

Matt Cardle - When Loves Takes Over : WONDERFUL. A little off at times in the chorus, but that voice has serious star quality. If by star quality we're referring to the world-smashing heights of RYAN TEDDER, but you can't win them all right? / 9/10

A.C.C.:

'I live on the assumption that when Matt asks girls back, he is literally just asking them back for tea. As with all males this year then.'

'I enjoy this song choice. Kelly whatshername avoids starvation for another day off the royalty cheque!'

'So, anybody for Matt doing Commander next week?'

John 'Generic Black Soul Contestant' 'Adedeji' - One Sweet Day : I'm watching it as we speak and I've already forgotten it. I don't even REMEMBER this guy from auditions, and as by far the most forgetful contestant of the night he's pretty much a goner on votes to save. It was a good performance, but the song choice was DISASTROUS - more Pop Idol fodder than X Factor fodder. FLUSH. / 2/10

A.C.C.:

'I don't even REMEMBER this guy audition. He seems like a sub-par Andy Abraham so far. Which is like calling someone a sub-par Lidl.'

'Is Louis about to burst into tears? That would literally set new records for homosexuality.'

'Really, this performance would've been so much more amazing if Cheryl had decked him during the key change.'

Rebecca Ferguson - Footsteps : This was rather amazing actually - despite me thinking it didn't suit her at the time, second viewings reveal she actually grew into it really well, so I think this is a wonderfully soulful way of showing off that she does have versatility - even if she should clearly be being more Corinne Bailey Rae than Mutya. / 8/10

A.C.C.:

'How far are they going to be able to go with the sob story 'I HAVE KIDS', HONESTLY?'

'Jade Ewen seems to have gotten a lot more soulful during boot camp.'

Storm - We Built This City On Rock and Roll : I'm not QUITE sure what to think of this. I hated him during auditions and I can't help but think I should hate him here (really, he just represents the sort of contestant that's never going to win this and would just be utterly irrelevant to us all - he'd be far better off on American X Factor/Idol) but he does have a slightly bizarre charm to him. Not enough for me to like him properly, mind. A solid 6/10.

A.C.C.:

'Storm looks like David Bowie had a lesbian daughter with Annie Lennox.'

'I've always felt that cement made a more reliable foundation for cities than rock and roll, but then, that's just me.'

'I really want Cheryl to get stuck in a lift with Adam Lambert for a few hours one day.'

Did anyone else think Louis' little angry outburst of 'Not everythings about YOU Cheryl!' was the highlight of the night?!

To those that have downloaded any of the tracks, are they just recordings of the live studio tracks? If so, aren't they just like 1 to 2 minutes long with lots of annoying screaming from the audience?

I think Wagner should win the whole show, as well as being a talent show it's also an entertainment show. But if he doesn't win then Cher should win because :naughty:, oh and something about a good voice.

Just looked on digital spy and saw this list. It's the amount of views given to the official X Factor Youtube videos:

01. Cher Lloyd - Just Be Good To Me - 59,601

02. Mary Bryne - This Is A Man's World - 31,781

03. Rebecca Ferguson - Teardrops - 26,133

04. Aidan Grimshaw - Mad World - 21,227

05. Belle Amie - Airplanes - 20,443

06. Katie Waissel - We Are The Champions - 19,797

07. Nicolo Festa - Just Dance - 17,014

08. Storm Lee - We Built This City - 16,925

09. John Adeleye - One Sweet Day - 16,130

10. Matt Cardle - When Love Takes Over - 13,372

11. Paije Richardson - Killing Me Softly - 12,116

12. TreyC Cohen - One - 11,805

13. Wagner - She Bangs/Love Shack - 11,587

14. One Direction - Viva La Vida - 11,162

15. F.Y.D. - Billionaire - 7,808

16. Diva Fever - Sunny - 6,881

Interesting, although I don't think this will be anywhere close to a representation of what will happen tonight. Just can't see 1 Direction ending up in the bottom three, don't think Diva Fever will be there either.

To this I say:

Are we supposed to be laughing? Oh.
I still can't vote :(

I tried ringing them but I got "We're sorry, you are restricted from dialling this number"

Maybe it's a blessing in disguise for my phone credit.

I have that problem as well. We should ring Customer Care but I hate making phone calls like that...

I loved Matt's and Mary's performances. Matt's was euphoric, an exciting song choice, loved the arrangement. Mary was fantastic too, she really nailed it.

Think F.Y.D. and John are out tonight.

Edited by Mattias

My fav of the night was Aiden. Mary, Matt, Paije, Rebecca and Trey were also very good. I think Nicolo and Storm are being sold as novelty acts but i think both of them see themselves are serious singers. Diva Fever and Wagner are tv gold, both need to stay around for a while, less said about Katie and Cher the better. Worst of the nigght 1 direction with their karoke rendition of viva la vida, the first two to sing were terribly out of tune
