Rihanna to get #01 over Cheryl would be AMAZING. I'm so f***ing sick of her and her tedious judging and 'Promise This' is just annoying imo.

The Mirror says that Wagner is german but he is brazilian.

I want Cheryl at number 1 being replaced by Nadine the week after.

Apparently, Rihanna is pushed back to the 31st of October. :)

Its unbelievable that we're talking of Cheryl Cole as a musical juggernaut when she's such a mediocre singer. And yet ... that is what she is!

How?

"because she's worth it" :kink:

I want Rihanna and Nadine #1.

Cheryl's isn't worthy of topsot imo, but its gonna happen isn't it..

I think Joe McElderry this week looking set to miss the no. 1 spot proves once again that an average song and an X Factor performance doesn't guarantee you a #1 hit. Let's hope the same happens with Cheryl. Imagine her face the following Sunday when Dermot announces "our very own Cheryl Cole is #2 in the charts, you must be happy with that".

"oh eye, of course man!"

At this moment who knows what Cheryl is doing :D

She replies "2 fingers up yer bum" :D

I know this is cynical but I'm extremely dubious about the songs being made available for download.

It gives Simon and the production team a far better indication from an early stage as to who would actually be likely to sell records than they would normally have. For instance, I suspect Mary got the most votes on Saturday/Sunday but I'd be surprised if she was anywhere near the most downloaded performance. If, for instance, this was the case then it wouldn't surprise me to see Mary be given a song that she would struggle with in the later stages to try and help her out of the door while those that do sell well get songs that would really suit them.

That's a good point. Whose decision was it for the songs not to count towards the chart anyway? Was it X-F? If so ... its like they're doing it for the benefit of the contestants and fairness in general ... when in reality they just want 'insider' information to push forward the act that they themselves want to give the recording contract to.

Having said that ... if rumours are to believed ... I doubt that the contestants versions would have made any dent at all in the charts ... as apparently - they're absolutely miniscule!

An X Factor performance doesn't guarantee anybody a #1 hit, unless the song was destined to be one anyway (or at least a #2/3 without the performance so it gets the small-ish bump needed to #1). Promise This is my favourite Cheryl single so far I think though, I certainly don't think it's average, so hopefully it will be a #1 :D That's all down to personal taste though I suppose as I love Ambitions too and certainly wouldn't lump it in with Leon's average debut effort but there we go - it obviously wasn't the right lead for him, it's all very 2007 and a bit out of date sounding, the Donkeyboy original sounds fresher production wise, as it's less glossy and more timeless sounding.

Leon Jackson had it a hell of a lot harder with his proper debut single than Joe though. Sure ... he wouldn't have beaten Pink who was encamped at the number 1 spot for a while ... but had it not been for a very active Facebook campaign against him and the highly watched Peter Kay 'oops there goes the pop factor' (or whatever) show the night before, he most certainly would have made number 2.

Could anyone PM me a link to somewhere I could download the live performances in high quality ?

I can't live any longer without Rebecca's performance on my BB !

I thought this may give an indication of which songs are the most popular on Itunes

Aiden Grimshaw: 673 Ratings

Matt Cardle: 526 Ratings

Cher Lloyd: 489 Ratings

One Direction: 299 Ratings

Katie Waissel: 265 Ratings

Mary Byrne 249 Ratings

Rebecca Ferguson: 169 Ratings

Wagner: 163 Ratings

TreyC Cohen: 121 Ratings

Nicolo Festa: 121 Ratings

Belle Amie: 116 Ratings

Diva Fever: 114 Ratings

Paije Richardson: 112 Ratings

Storm Lee: 84 Ratings

F.Y.D: 79 Ratings

John Adeleye: 59 Ratings

AWKWARDDDD! LMAO!

Poor Louis

What are the ratings from Sabrina? :D

 at Louis

Jonjo their from Itunes. A lot of them may be negative ratings too, but it looks pretty accurate to me

I would have thought that Aiden's would be the most popular performance and John's the least

I think Aiden will win. He does actually look like a popstar. Aiden, Matt, One Direction, Cher and Rebecca are really the only ones with any chance of winning though...the rest are just cannon fodder.

I agree with Aiden ... I only caught up with his performance on youtube but it was very good. I loved the simple set (it reminded me for some reason of that judderman advert for Metz). He's really intense ... the way he stared into the camera as if psyching it out. Apart from him I really only like Rebecca and Matt. I think Cher is just so overrated ... I wish someone would fire her from a cannon. As much as I don't like the way Katie got into this show (and I don't mean the Gamu thing) I'd much rather Katie be in it longer than Cher.

I think the acts that remain consistent and keep giving better performances each week have the best chance.I am sure at some point they will actually need to perform including some form of dance routine but I think the final five will be Matt, Aiden, Rebecca. TreyC and One Direction.

I'd be satisfied with that final five.
