October 13, 201014 yr One Minute is brilliant  shame it's so low. Same goes for the other songs as well.. She has released some amazing singles
October 13, 201014 yr Author 12: 'Low' [[[114 Points]]] "I walk out of this darkness, With no sense of regret." http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/15/Low_Single.PNG 3zZAPZoIHlg HIGHEST SCORES: SINFUL (12 Points) MARINA HURTS (12 Points) LOWEST SCORES: ALED (1 Point) --------------- Up now we have 'Low'. I had never heard of this song before I listened to 'Breakaway' and I remember being a bit shocked that it was just a "Bonus Track" as I thought it was great. But now I realise that it was released during the 'Thankful' era and I kinda felt relieved  it's a brilliant song and fit right in with the rest of 'Breakaway' imo.
October 13, 201014 yr Low is definatly my least favourite of her singles, I often have no recollection of what it sounds like at all and to be honest I hardly ever listen to it these days. Always condisered One Minute a highlight of My December, would have made a much stronger European sinlge than Dont Waste Your Time anyway.
October 13, 201014 yr Author 11: 'I Do Not Hook Up' [[[124 Points]]] "You wanna chase but you're chasin' your tail, A quick fix won't ever get you well." http://www.shoppingblog.com/pics/kelly_clarkson_i_do_not_hook_up_cover.jpg kNh_pqYCc9E HIGHEST SCORES: LUKUZZ (13 Points) LOWEST SCORES: WEST (1 Point) --------------- So we have the second of 4 songs from her latest studio album up next, I'm a little bit surprised actually! :o. 'I Do Not Hook Up' was written by Katy Perry & Kara Dioguardi, it followed up the monster worldwide hit, 'My Life Would Suck Without You'. It's a fantastic song, but I didn't want it to be released as the 2nd single over the likes of 'Don't Let Me Stop You', 'Already Gone', 'Long Shot' etc... it probably should have been the 4th or final single from this era at least. The video and cover though are fantastic. Especially the part where she drunkenly falls of the bar and gets up like nothing happened!
October 14, 201014 yr LOW AND THE TROUBLE WITH LOVE IS <333 PS - Her version of 'A Moment Like This' kicks Leona's version in the ass. And I love Leona.
October 14, 201014 yr 'Don't Waste Your Time', 'All I Ever Wanted' and 'One Minute' - all utterly dreadful. I used to like 'Low' a lot but it sounds kind of lame now. :( I also love how everyone initially said what a perfect single choice 'I Do Not Hook Up' was, and when it flopped they were condemning her label for even thinking of releasing it. Can't win!
October 14, 201014 yr Author 10: 'Miss Independent' [[[146 Points]]] (1 "15 Points") "What happened to miss independent's no longer need to be defensive? Goodbye, old you, when love, is true." http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/2f/Kelly_Clarkson_-_Miss_Independent_CD_cover.jpg MTyn6qkwo7Y HIGHEST SCORES: NEIL (15 Points) LOWEST SCORES: JONJO (1 Point) --------------- Now we have a TIE. Due to only having one 15 pointer, 'Miss Independent' finishes lower. It's a decent song overall. But I've always felt there's something weird about it. It was her first UK release, went to number 4 I believe. It sounds rather dated and rubbish now, but it's not "OMG! THIS IS THE WORST THING SINCE EVER AND IT'S RAPING MY EARS. EWWW!111!"1" sort of bad. More of, "Meh. She has a lot better" sort of bad... But it managed to finish 10th. So, not bad.
October 14, 201014 yr Author 09: 'Breakaway' [[[146 Points]]] (2 x "15 Points") "Out of the darkness and into the sun, But I won't forget all the ones that I love." http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b9/Breakaway_Single.jpg ZLUmlyuXonk HIGHEST SCORES: SILVER ROCKET (15 Points) JAMIE. (15 Points) LOWEST SCORES: NICKF1 (3 Points) --------------- Finishing off the tied position, is the 5th European single and the 1st single in the US & Australia, from her enormous 'Breakaway' album. 'Breakaway', the title track, is phenomenal live. It's a BIG crowd pleaser and I just can't get over how much the crowd loves this when she performs it. It's a sensational song that deserved a hell of a lot more success than it got here in the UK. Although it did really well everywhere else it was released I think and it was the 5th single from a million selling album (I think it was at that point...) so I guess it sort of makes sense why it "only" made number 22 :P
October 14, 201014 yr LOVE Miss Independent. BREAKAWAY <3 Every time I've seen her perform Breakaway live, I've got her to wave at me. Such a special song, hehe.
October 14, 201014 yr Low - another brilliant song that was overlooked by alot of people I Do Not Hook Up - can't believe this did so badly in the charts, its brill Miss Independent - the worst single from the Thankful era imo, but still good Breakaway - its ok, but most of the Breakaway album is superior
October 14, 201014 yr Author 08: 'Walk Away' [[[157 Points]]] "I want a man by my side, Not a boy who runs and hides." http://image1.altnet.com/images/51/828768267851/Kelly_Clarkson/Dance_Vault_Mixes_Walk_Away_4/Kelly_Clarkson-Dance_Vault_Mixes_Walk_A_3.jpg GWIB4DCtooI HIGHEST SCORES: MIKE SUGAFAN (15 Points) LOWEST SCORES: ROSSCO (1 Point) --------------- Next up is Kelly's 4th hit single from 'Breakaway', 'Walk Away'. This song is vastly under appreciated. I like how it's fun and a tad anthemic in the sense, you seem to know the words and sing along, even if you didn't know the words... (make sense?). The video is hilarious. Definitely up there as one of my favourite Kelly vids. Real life occasions, not necessarily in those particular places, but I've had somebody walk in on me, giving it my all to a song  I'm sure i'm not the only one :P She also looks INCREDIBLE in the video!
October 14, 201014 yr Author 07: 'Sober' [[[176 Points]]] "3 months. And I'm still Sober, Picked all my weeds but kept the flowers." http://popbytes.com/img/kelly-clarkson-sober2.jpg qVfaCpvHNo8 HIGHEST SCORES: JONJO (20 Points) ROSSCO (20 Points) JACK (17 Points) NEIL (17 Points) LUKUZZ (15 Points) LOWEST SCORES: THEO (1 Point) --------------- Up next is the worldwide smash, that never was but managed to get to number 10 on the Billboard "bubbling under". 'Sober' is easily my favourite Kelly song of all time. The lyrics are moving and contain quite possibly the best lyrics ever. Everything about it is just so haunting and powerful. Her vocals, the music instrumental, the build up EVERYTHING. Stunning song and it's one of those songs where I can't quite see why a couple of people would rate it so low, I'm just going to assume it's coz they've never heard it before :heehee:
October 14, 201014 yr Author 06: 'Already Gone' [[[194 Points]]] "Started with a perfect kiss then, We could feel the poison set in, Perfect couldn't keep this love alive." http://www.dailystab.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/kelly-clarkson-already-gone.jpg o_fYZnymJDs HIGHEST SCORES: SINFUL (20 Points) MIKE SUGAFAN (20 Points) NEIL (20 Points) JONJO (15 Points) JACK (15 Points) LOWEST SCORES: MARINA HURTS (1 Point) --------------- Following on from one beautiful song, onto another. I am a huge sucker for a big, powerful Tedder ballad and with Kelly's emotion and in-tune delievery with her vocals, this is the 'Halo', Beyoyo tried to create, but failed. She got plumped with a tinnier and inferior version of this song, but the cheeky bitch released 'Halo' on her album at the end of '08, but Kelly couldn't get her song out there, as she was still putting the finishing touches to her album 'All I Ever Wanted'. But by the time she could get the chance to release 'Already Gone', the other one decided to release 'Halo', which went on to be a huge WW hit and because Kelly didn't want people to think she copied her, delayed the release of this orgasmic song and got into a very public war of words with Tedder and decided she only wanted to release it, if she could perform a different arrangement of it live. An opportunity wasted. f***ing label. Bloody Tedder.
October 14, 201014 yr Author So the top 5 is... 01. 'Because Of You' 02. 'Behind These Hazel Eyes' 03. 'My Life Would Suck Without You' 04. 'Never Again' 05. 'Since U Been Gone' PREDICTIONSSSS?! :D
October 14, 201014 yr Already Gone  Shocked it missed the top 5! Such an amazing song. Also amazing video - how they made her look that skinny I have NO idea, some very clever camera work and tight dresses! Definitely didn't expect Never Again to be this high. I personally love the song, but I always thought the general reaction was pretty grim. Although I guess we're all fans here...
October 14, 201014 yr Bit suprised to see Hool Up outside the top 10. I will admit, I was someone who thought it was a great single choice initally but really, you can see it probably wasnt the greatest. It's such a really, really great song but perhaps a bit of a letdown when compared to My Life Would Suck and Already Gone. Love Breakway and Miss Independant but wouldnt really consider them some of my favourites. Walk Away's video is just epic, as is the song itself. I think it made a really nice change aswell for her to have a really fun video. Dissapointed at it peaking at #21 or whatever but understandable I suppose. Sober is wonderul aswell. Gotta admit here. I do actually marginally prefer Halo to Already Gone as I have previously stated. But AG remains one of Kelly's best to date and it's shame it wont go down as one of her classics.
October 14, 201014 yr It was her first UK release, went to number 4 I believe. #6. :P Decent top 5, 'Since U Been Gone' FTW. ^_^
