I heard a while ago that her album was going to be re-released but not heard anymore for a while. Anyone know anything?

The plans have been scrapped, for she is due to be having a baby soon. It'll be pointless for her to re-release and not be able to promote or anything.
Baby is due November if I remember rightly so hopefully after she's had a few months off to enjoy being a new mum we'll get her back in the public eye next summer (northern hemisphere anyway). And who knows maybe some new music too :)

The album has done well and with her having a baby i agree its pointless to re release it, they should hold back whatever new material they had for it and it can be used for the next album.

Another single to finish of the element of freedom era would be great as i think just a small push more the album can reach 1 million UK sales.

Why not just release 'Put It In A Love Song' then? It already has a video shot, also both Alicia and Beyonce's names are big enough to sell it on name alone now. It'd help the album edge that bit closer to a million, that's for sure...
Wait Till They See My Smile was on radio 1 tonight about half 7 and was announced as her new single?
Oooft. Interesting! 'Wait Till They See My Smile' would sell the album, but flop as a single... not that it'll matter though. As long as it helps the album!
It's listed on the release schedule as 22nd November; 6 months after 'Try Sleeping...' was released, and 12 after 'Doesn't Mean Anything'.
Oooft can I be the Alicia fan who says "OMFG! HOPEFULLY X FACTOR PERFORMANCE!!!11!1!!11" As every act who seems to release around now gets that very treatment :heehee: They've obviously realised they could milk the album a bit more and trying to make it go to a million. Although she's a while away from a million I think. I have a feeling once she's had her baby, they will continue with the re-release and stuff...
Gonna merge it with the other topic and make that one the single topic :D Thanks Nick. (Although I think they stole the release schedule from here :heehee: unless Manic posts it there too haha)
Good choice! By far my favourite on the album.
I love this song, i hope radio plays it alot, it's the only way it will do well since there probably won't be a video.

Even if it does feel rather old now, it's one of my favourites from the album and I very much so look forward to a video. Not sure how well it would do but I'll just repeat what Jonjo said really

''OMFG X-FACTOR PERFORMANCE PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE''.

I very much doubt there will be an XF Performance or a video :( Hopefully there is something though...
Eh, this is not really single material. Would've prefered 'Love is Blind', or why not 'Put It In a Love Song'? Will we ever see the video?

'Wait Till You See My Smile' will be released in the UK

The track is the fifth cut taken from her fourth studio LP The Element Of Freedom, which to date has sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide.

The singer has launched a competition for fans and 12,000 film makers to create their own video for the song, with the winner's clip going on to officially promote the song in the UK.

In a press release, Keys describes the track as "really strong, and the drums are really aggressive, but my voice is vulnerable and delicate".

Oooh. I like how she is getting the fans involved, because for obvious reasons she can't do it. Hopefully there will be something pretty fantastic amongst the entries.

First and second listen to the album this stood out with 'Put it in a Love song' as good single choices. Glad its out there now though still want to see video for the best song not released from the album (PIIALS).

BTW lets close this AF cos no one uses it and theres no activity:-( (rant........Needs reconsidering but my pleas have been dismissed as obviously unless we have loons constantly posting we are not worthy....... over)
