So this has been a big debate this year over whether Konnie was right for the Job, so now as the contest is fully underway, it's a good time to decide.

 

When I found out that Konnie would be the new presenter I was shocked but also quite happy as I remembered her as being great on Blue Peter... how wrong I was! I still like her but I don't know if it is through the stress/nerves of fronting a high profile show or if she is just crap, but she isn't working. I think she is great when reading the autocue/presenting but she is terrible when trying to interview the judges/guests/contestants, she is too wooden and has yet to show any personality whatsoever, other than when she occasionally forgets herself and uses the word babe ha

 

She has just married a comedian so there must be an amazing personality that Simon saw in her but she surely isn't bringing it out when presenting! I also think this has something to do with her just not being interested, I wouldn't be surprised if she has never watched the show before and just sees it as pop culture rubbish and would much rather present something more serious, and thus, sees it as her stepping stone to a future career? I think this because she is never excited when speaking about the show to guests or even to the judges/celebs and generally doesn't seem to know anything about the show/celebs other than what she is reading off a card? On a further note, will they please get Konnie a stylist or sack her stylist. That pink dress (vom) and last week’s when she interviewed Usher was so tight and short (as well as looking like tin foil) you could almost see her knickers! Up her Budget Cowell!

 

How did she blag this job?!

 

So is she right for the show?

 

If not who should they get to replace her?

 

 

I’ve not really thought in to who It should have been to replace Holly or who I would like to see replace Konnie but off the top of my head, if Simon wanted to give a children’s presenter a break, shouldn’t it have been Angellica Bell? I remember her oozing personality, and the public would easily warm up to and she is hilarious! As well as her needing a break about now!

She really does put me off watching the show. I remember last night I was watching and she had to be reminded by the Peoples Panel that they were talking about TreyC and not Katie

 

I really don't understand why she was chosen to do the show anyway ? Is she seriously the best they could find :mellow:

Bring back Holly or basically anyone that could do a better job than her

 

 

Keep her on the show!!! If she puts people off the show then that's good! People may stop watching it and it will go down the pan.

I actually turned off after Jedward, I just found the show a big grating after awhile, the thing is you tend to get fed up with it, as its constant in your face from 7:30 onwards for 4 hours. And Konnie makes the show so boring, I prefer Holly she was pretty good, even Ben was good.

 

Does it really have to be on for an hour and a quarter on Saturdays, 30 mins would be sufficient enough. All you need to do is interview the judges, and get audience reactions to the show, it doesn't need all the blah blah blah.

Yes. I prefer her over Holly.

I have to say ever since she started, I've just lost interest- the show is TOO long, and I only really now switch on to get a bit of eye candy

 

I reckon Matt Edmondson from the F factor would make a good host- hes funny and a good presenter, so replace her with him :D

Konnie just exaggerates everything - has done ever since the one time I saw Blue Peter whilst flicking through the channels. Everytime she interviews someone as soon as she has asked her question, she starts nodding her head like it's about to fall off. The person hasn't even given an answer and she's nodding away!!! :lol:

 

Konnie's not terrible. Just needs to relax more in front of the camera and not worry about making an ass of herself on live TV. I say bring back Kate Thornton. :D (oh, the sexual tension between Kate and Simon Cowell used to be priceless on Pop Idol Xtra - they've definitely "met" before :lol: ).

She's CRAP.

Yes i think she does. I loved Holly and of course would have loved Holly to have stayed on but she is gone. Konnie is growing into the role and for me she improves each week.

Bringing back Holly isn't going to happen, since she left for obvious reasons, so I voted for get a replacement celeb to present it.

As long as Konnie Huq isn't presenting it next year I'll be happy.

But like someone said above, Matt Edmonson would be the perfect replacement!!!

She was just dreadful and has no real sincerity and a poor knowledge of music.I doubt she has ever watched X-factor the amount of times she claimed this was the best bunch of contestants, the best final, the best ever-boring.Plus I seemed to notice that she would intentionally avoid speaking to Treyc and Paije not sure what all that was about.Get rid and according to X-factor snitch Dan Wootoon her days are numbered.
