Looks like all those who predicted Rihanna would be #1 by Tuesday night were incorrect...no doubt she will manage though, however Cheryl in the bag atm

So happy Cheryl is still at number 1 on iTunes. Definitely she has it in her bag this week.

Rihanna will miss the top spot this sunday and I think she will miss the number 1 next week as well. I think Tinchy will be number 1 next week.

Something's wrong with the iTunes chart this morning imo. Suddenly Duck Sauce disappeared from number 8 and also Cee Lo's F**k You from number 19 and a lot of duplicated tracks (Travie, Katy Perry, Taio Cruz etc)
I don't agree it is at all, 'Whatcha Say' and the last one were far weaker than this... besides, it IS the 5th single too.

Of course, record companies always believe they are immune to the law of diminishing returns... :)

Looks like there's something of a glitch at iTunes this morning.

I input the T1000 positions into my spreadsheet as usual, and saw that many significant songs inside the T300 had dropped out, whereas it's normally rare for songs to drop out from higher than #500.

All these are gone from the T300 :

93. Coming Home - Pixie Lott & Jason Derülo

110. Rude Boy - Rihanna

112. Green Light - Roll Deep

116. Best Behaviour (Album Version) - N-Dubz

117. Get Outta My Way - Kylie Minogue

128. Breakeven - The Script

140. I Need Air (feat. Angela Hunte) - Magnetic Man

142. Mr. Brightside - The Killers

177. I'm Yours - Jason Mraz

186. Nobody Knows - P!nk

187. Drummer Boy (Original) - Alesha Dixon

192. Wonderful Life - Hurts

196. Still D.R.E. - Dr. Dre

201. Because of You - Kelly Clarkson

204. Promise This (Digital Dog Radio Edit) - Cheryl Cole

208. Run - Leona Lewis

212. Iris - The Goo Goo Dolls

219. If You Leave Me Now - Chicago

232. Turn It Up - Pixie Lott

238. Last Ones Standing - Example

243. Ordinary Girl - Hannah Montana

244. Meet Me Halfway - The Black Eyed Peas

247. Yeah! - Usher

251. Bring Me to Life - Evanescence

253. Empire State of Mind (feat. Alicia Keys) - Jay-Z

257. Superstition - Stevie Wonder

260. Cry Me Out - Pixie Lott

273. Find Your Love - Drake

274. Hard to Say I'm Sorry (Single Version) - Chicago

275. Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It) - Beyoncé

278. Peacock - Katy Perry

283. Your Love Is My Drug - Ke$ha

297. God & Satan - Biffy Clyro

Some of the above are normally ever-present, so there's surely a screw-up somewhere if they're suddenly unavailable!

I can't tell offhand if there's a common factor in their disappearance, though.

Future X Factor group performances?

 Tinchy used to be OK, since In My System he's awful.

Looks like the glitch has fixed itself as I have Pixie & Jason at #122.

Anyway, I'm very surprised but happy to see Cheryl is still #1 - maybe she can just about hold off Rihanna for the whole week?

Perhaps we could even have another Pass Out vs. Rude Boy situation and Chez will stay #1 next week :kink: Only that won't happen because RiRi is on XF

There's no way she's not going to be #1 next week. She's performing on X Factor, and the song is already popular, so with the added boost she's going to get from that, she'll be pretty unstoppable.

Hopefully should see the 'missing' songs bounce back in when I check tomorrow.

ISTM the top 4 could be very high selling next week, with Cheryl, Rihanna, Nadine & Tinchy all likely to sell lots.

Nadine? No. She's had precisely zero radio airplay and only very limited video play.

Ne-Yo and Roll Deep are likely to be the highest of the new entries. There'll be quite a few new ones in / just outside the top 20 though. Alexis Jordan could be a surprise hit.

56. Like A G6 (made famous by Far East Movement feat Cataracs & Dev) - Off the Record

278. Like A G6 - Hit Masters

There are now 2 fake LAG6s as you can see.

Halloween update:

78. Ghostbusters - Ray Parker, Jr.

110. Monster Mash - Bobby 'Boris' Pickett

146. Thriller (2003 Edit) - Michael Jackson

188. Time Warp - Little Nell, Patricia Quinn & Richard O'Brien

192. The Time Warp - Damian

219. Monster Mash - Bobby "Boris" Pickett

220. Monster - The Automatic

243. Thriller - Michael Jackson

257. Ghost Town - The Specials

Tinchy ? I can't even see him making Top 10.. let alone Number 1

I preferred In My System and even that only charted low top 10 with less competition

Am I the only one who thinks 'One In A Million' will flop? It's so boring and not likely to please a demanding public. Roll Deep will probably enter at #3 behind Cheryl & RiRi. Also I prefer this Tinchy era to the last :kink:

143. One In A Million - Joel

Flops don't tend to have fakes in the top 150

2 days ago RiRi was only few percent behind no.1, and I was sure that she will overtake Cheryl on Wednesday. Who know how big is a gap between girls today?

BTW, this was ~#202 overall last week (it was #200 on the download chart, 2 places below the lowest entry on the overall singles chart).

Maybe not mega flop, but I can't see it making the top 20.

rihanna still has a little bit to go

Rihanna has been moving so slowly towards Cheryl, I can't see her overtaking before XF...
