Posted October 18, 201014 yr Music Week lists Better than Today out Dec 6 Edited November 19, 201014 yr by Dannyboy
October 18, 201014 yr I actually approve, it has grown so much on me  Hope it has a kick ass video.
October 18, 201014 yr Im delighted with this, ive been a huge fan of better than today since first listen i hope it manages to do reasonably well and more importantly sell the album for the christmas market. Im glad they are pushing ahead with the third single so soon. For me better than today is miles better than get outta my way.
October 19, 201014 yr I don't know why they're bothering. Her duet with Taio is out the week before and radio are even less likely to play this if there's already another Kylie song on the radio. It's a similar situation to Alesha's new single Radio which has had to be put back because radio don't want to playlist it whilst her feature on the Roll Deep song is being played. Basically Parlophone have messed up big time and this is going to do nothing at all. Top 20 at best, for one week.
October 19, 201014 yr Yeah it will be top 20 at most, the song is not that interesting and to be honest i think Cupid boy or aphrodite or even put your hands up would have been better singles that this boring repetitive useless 3 min thingy they're releasing as a single! When get outta my way was getting all the hype before its release, i was maybe one of the few that said this song is not that interesting and i don't c it as a smash hit and i was right... Better than today is not better than GOMW its worst, so i'm not gonna be really surprised if it flops flat on its face!
October 19, 201014 yr Author Put Your Hands Up is an even worse choice. I would have loved Closer or Aphrodite
October 19, 201014 yr I wanted 'Aphrodite', and then 'Cupid Boy'. Edited October 19, 201014 yr by Silver Rocket

I agree, All The Lovers did reasonably well, but the problem with long-term fan base acts is they have trouble with follow-up singles from albums. No.12 wasn't too bad when you consider how 'The One' performed. (Bottom 40 if i recall correctly), but still it didn't exactly hang around. Short of continued tv and media exposure to promote the album up to xmas i can't think what else they can do. Hope this duet with Taio Cruz will do well though, but if radio won't give it enough attention i think it might bomb.
October 19, 201014 yr Aphrodite would have been a better single choice but Better Than Today is my 4th favourite song on the album, I just wouldn't have picked it as a single... anyway, there are talks of a re-release so she may get another top ten from the 'Aphrodite' era, just not with one of the songs on the current album. Luciana's submitted a song for the re-release; http://poptrashaddicts.blogspot.com/2010/1...ah-harding.html
October 19, 201014 yr No.12 wasn't too bad when you consider how 'The One' performed. (Bottom 40 if i recall correctly), but still it didn't exactly hang around. That's different, not only was 'The One' a 4th single, but they didn't physically release it which is the only hope of sales she can get from a 4th single, and then they released a cheap looking video two weeks after it had fallen out of the top 75...
October 20, 201014 yr I wanted 'Aphrodite', and then 'Cupid Boy'. agree too... 'Aphrodite' is the obvious choice. too bad it was ignored.
