October 26, 201015 yr Hmmm The Wanted at #2 is a dead cert I think. I wouldn't underestimate McElderry being an easy top 5 and them bombing down the chart liike his single. Taylor Swift & that horrible Soldiers malarkie could be high up to. Definately KOL for #1 again, even if their sales halved from last week they're still looking at 90k.
October 26, 201015 yr On the midweek chart. Singles #1 Cheryl - 68k #2 Rihanna - 51k Albums #1 KOL #2 Joe #3 Wanted #4 Taylor Edited October 26, 201015 yr by spkx
October 26, 201015 yr Sales are a lot closer than I was expecting! Still massive though. Wasn't expecting to see Joe and Taylor this high, they will both fall a couple of places during the week I think.
October 26, 201015 yr Joe at #2 - wow. I don't think Cheryl has this in the bag yet. If Rihanna gets ahead of her by the end of today, she could catch up.
October 26, 201015 yr Imagine if rihanna catches up :o that would be the biggest shock of the year chart wise for me i think, i thought cheryl would get it with such ease!
October 26, 201015 yr Author Weird thing at #27 - "Cheryl Cole - Promise" I saw that... I just ignored it, as it would be combined, her sales must be higher than 68k :o with the other version at 27.
October 26, 201015 yr So, about 20k between Cheryl and Rihanna (if we combine #1 and #27 entries)... Not that far off! It's highly unlikely for Rihanna to overtake but not absolutely impossible - just remember the 'Happy - Meet Me Halfway' phenomenon. Very, very interesting week, I love huge chart battles.
October 26, 201015 yr Fight For This Love was on 134.2k in its first mid-week flash - I reckon that might be the total first week for Promise This
October 26, 201015 yr Author Imagine if rihanna catches up :o that would be the biggest shock of the year chart wise for me i think, i thought cheryl would get it with such ease! Cheryl could be on 78k plus with the other version of Promise This lower down the chart
October 26, 201015 yr Fight For This Love was on 134.2k in its first mid-week flash - I reckon that might be the total first week for Promise This I think 150k. It was never going to outsell FFTL. That song is a classic and is just frickin awesome. PT whilst listenable is a bit bleh. That said I'm not thinking much of Rihanna's new one either. I must be the only person that thinks she has far better material and this is just a bit Guetta-lite. Kudos to both though. Should be the first week we have 2 100kers since last Christmas time :-)
October 26, 201015 yr Hopefully Rianna will overtake. Al the Cheryl fans would have rushed out to get hers. I think Rianna will sell more throughout the rest of the week. Well done Joe, number 2, lets hope you can keep that spot. Im not inton the whole x factor thing but I think his album is pretty good.
October 26, 201015 yr Peter Andre Top 20 :o I hope he holds up for the rest of the week Defender  I think Cheryl will easily get to Number 1 this week and Rihanna will get there next week, which I'm happy about as I'd like both songs to get there
October 26, 201015 yr Cheryl could be on 78k plus with the other version of Promise This lower down the chart I really don't think that #27 sells 10k just after Sunday and Monday. ;) More like 3k. I expect the total for PT this week as 140k. And Rihanna should sell with almost x3 multiplier by Sunday to catch up with this, almost impossible.
October 26, 201015 yr Wahey for roughly 70k opening figure for Cheryl. Here's hoping she can push it to 200,000 for Sunday. I'm thrilled for Rihanna too. This is by far the fastest selling single of her career in the UK :o
