Belle Amie in the bottom two with Paije, TreyC or possibly Aiden. Doesn't matter though, it's pretty obvious Belle Amie will go home no matter what.

I think its time Belle Amie went- they werent good tonight- TreyC I think will survive this week, so the other spot is pretty open I guess

Just wondering if the people who loved Cher's performance heard the Shakespeare Sisters once? :naughty:

In truth it would be very hard to match the original.Marcella I think her name is is a multi octave vocalist who has had opera training. Her voice is amazing and very few singers could match it.Cheryl had the sense to give Cher an interpretation of the song where even with Chers weak vocals she would not go wrong as Chers range did not change and her higher notes were flat.

That was the first time I've enjoyed anything Cher's done since her audition. Great song choice. There were a couple of wobbly notes but overall ... the second best performance of the night.

Why do Belle Amie keep picking songs that are out of their vocal range. Each week they sound worse and worse. It seems that only one can actually sing in tune. They should be in the bottom two with Katie.

1. Rebecca Ferguson - 10.0

2. Cher Lloyd - 8.5

3. Treyc Cohen - 7.5

4. Matt Cardle - 7.5

5. One Direction - 7.0

6. Paige Richardson - 7.0

7. Belle Amie - 5.0

8. Katie Waisell - 4.5

9. Aiden Grimshaw - 4.0

10. Wagner - 3.0

I personally thought that the standard tonight was very poor apart from Rebecca  and Cher. Will only be downloading those two.

It was number 1 almost 19 years ago. It's older than the majority of Buzzjack members.

Just agree with marrb though. It is very hard to anyone match the original. :)

Well true, but I'm pretty sure everyone who didn't know it, at least here, heard a small segment of it before the show...

I agree with that, the original is far more powerful, I'm not knocking Cher's performance tonight as that was top class, and the track was stripped down for her to show her vocals more, to prove she is not a one trick pony.

I am 15 and I have never heard the song and infact lots of my fb friends statuses were asking what the song was so I don't think that many teenagers do know it. It is a gorgeous song though & I am planning to listen/download the orignal.

Cher's voice didn't go flat during the song, she was in tune throughout. She did a great job, but was occasionally a bit shaky. That was due to the emotion overcoming her too. She was the highlight for me tonight, with Rebecca coming a close second.

Mary - 5 - a somewhat unremarkable performance.

Aidan - 6 - he looked so gorgeous tonight.

Belle Amie - 2 - horrifically atrocious, what is this trash still doing on here?! URGH.

Rebecca - 7 - like Joe last year she’s consistent, this performance wasn’t particularly memorable though.

Treyc - 5 - the performance and vocals lacked the energy needed to pull off the song.

Matt - 7 - not his best performance, but at least he is challenging himself / being challenged unlike the vast majority of the rest that are fading into the mediocrity of their comfort zones. He’s spot on with the reported criticism of the frightful Weasel character too.

Wagner - 5 -

Paige - 5 - the song was, unfortunately, just too big for him.

Weasel - 4 - what was up with the mad Great Grandma look? :manson: Totally off-putting; back to the bottom 2 she goes.

One Dimension - 7 - I give in. *swoon* Louis is so cute. <3

Cher - 7 - loved the song choice; it was by far her best performance to date.

Aiden - Thriller 2/10

I really really didn't like this. 'Thriller' is such a brilliant party track and one of Michael Jackson's biggest most popular tracks. However, this stripped back ballad version that didn't work at all for me. I will give Aiden credit that at some points he did provide good vocals. Overall though, it was extremely flat.

Matt - Bleeding Love 6/10

Matt is definitely one of my faves in this years X Factor but I think this was Matt's weakest performance so far. It wasn't a complete disaster but his high notes were slightly pitchy and uncomfotable to listen to.

Paije - Back To Black 9/10

Paije really surprised me tonight. I also think I didn't give Paije enough credit for his version of 'Ain't Nobody' last week. Tonight was by far Paije's best performance so far and he's easily my second fave of the male contestants.

Treyc - Relight My Fire 3/10

Lulu has a LOT to answer for!!! I was underwhelmed by this performance. Why? Because it was a copycat version that Alexandra Burke did two years ago. TreyC seems to rely heavily on big notes but they're often quite pitchy. Sometimes I believe in "less is more" which is why Alexandra got in spot on. She never overdid the high notes whereas TreyC seems to be doing a "Danyl Johnson" each week.

Rebecca - Wicked Game 10/10

How fantastic was this? :o When Rebecca started singing, I didn't recognise the song whatsoever. Then it got to the chorus and it clicked but I was already sold by that point. Rebecca just produces these faultless performances each week. This would be the perfect sequal to Leona Lewis' version of 'Run'. Perfection!!!

Katie - Bewitched 7/10

Like Paije, I also think I didn't give Katie enough credit last week for 'I Wanna Be Like You'. Katie is still far from being my fave girl in her category but she's now competing against TreyC for third place. I really liked this performance - not breathtaking in the same way as Rebecca, but ultimately not cringy as TreyC.

Cher - Stay 9/10

I'm not entirely sure why Cher got upset after her performance but what a performance it was!!! ^_^ This more than makes up for the last three weeks. I finally got to hear Cher actually singing without any rapping thrown in for good/pointless measure. By doing so I was able to focus on how strong her vocals are and personally I thought this was a solid vocal performance.

Mary - Could It Be Magic 6/10

Hmm, maybe Mary should just stick to ballads. The first time I was underwhelmed with Mary. Even with the big note thrown in for good measure, it just didn't work for me. Still think Mary will be in the competition until at least the final 5.

Wagner - Oh Fortuna going into Bat Out Of Hell 0/10

It wasn't funny, nor was it so bad it was good again. It was just...no!!! I can't even bring myself to give this a 1. :(

Belle Amie - Venus 5/10

Firstly, I think Bananarama's version of 'Venus' is one of the best pop hits of the 80s - it even went to no. 1 in USA which surprised me when I first found that out. This could've been Belle Amie's best chance of show off how great a girlband they can be. Unfortunately it seemed a bit all over the place. Some vocals are out of time, other times two of the singers clashed over each other and generally the performance lacked any level of brilliance. If Simon isn't careful he could be losing his third group tomorrow. Not that he cares - he's clearly only interested in One Direction...

One Direction - Total Eclipse Of The Heart 5/10

...and here they are. I was very disappointed. Where was gooddelta's falsetto? :P I don't think it matters what song these lads sing, the performances will always be in two sections. The section where Liam (aka Talented One) sings the verse and the section where all five boys sing together and it sounds bloody terrible. At least Ethnic One managed to sing his token line in tune this week. :D

Overall rating: (based on tonight's performances)

Rebecca 10/10

Cher 9/10

Paije 9/10

Katie 7/10

Matt 6/10

Mary 6/10

One Direction 5/10

Belle Amie 5/10

Treyc 3/10

Aiden 2/10

Wagner 0/10

cher and rebecca was just the best two tonight am so happy cher showed a different side to her

One of the best songs ever recorded. So beautiful and haunting. Just admit Cher did it well enough!

I am 15 and I have never heard the song and infact lots of my fb friends statuses were asking what the song was so I don't think that many teenagers do know it. It is a gorgeous song though & I am planning to listen/download the orignal.
You really should. The original is beautifully haunting and fully deserved all 8 or so weeks it got at thee top!

Cher was bloody amazing tonight. Fully deserving of the praise in particular this week. Her vocals and tone are  possibly my favourite XF contestant to date.
